Here is day 1 with my 2016 TRD LB Sport.. Bought the lil fucker in the rain and didn't realize that I didn't get an Off Road. To be fair I limped in an F150 that was on it's way to being tits up in a hurry. (one and only ford experience, never again 4th taco)10403149_10208293557034720_8780385379567805697_n.jpg

I hunt and guide a fair bit, but around camp.. She got named the girl truck by all my small peckered cummins driving friends.

First trip to the desert, it was quickly realized that if you like your kidneys.. The Girl truck was like getting a piggy back from a fat girl, way better than the prison shower room experience the dodges gave you.

I kept her pretty stock for the next 35K miles. She saw some blood, mud, and hauled some shit to say the least..

After 2 years, I finally realized it was time to solve some of the basic deficiencies of my truck.

First mod was trading off that gayer than aids hood scoop.

Since I started that, lets just say the flood gates opened. The high heels this truck showed with did surprisingly well off road, that being said they had to go.
    32350074_10215476745769949_3077898427602829312_o.jpg

I thought what the heck, got rid of all of those stupid badges and stickers at the same time.

As much as I enjoy a good rubbing, it too had to end so I got a hold of @HeadStrong Off-Road and Marie took good care of me. While I was at it, no more saggy ass end with anything more than a picnic basket in the back.

I blacked out the stock cheese grader the same weekend I installed the lift. I couldn't find a aftermarket grill that really blew her skirt up.

I've got a TRD pro skid to be installed this week. I'm going to put a @Dissent86 roof rack on it and a bumper if he'll ever get production going. (nudge nudge wink wink)

Down the road I'm going to dump these 5100's and put some 8100's on here, new rear bumper, some lights.

I'll be updating this thread periodically with pictures and adventure posts..

This is my other expensive hobby, with an early rifle bull hunt this year in az, I decided to build another couple long range guns. Parts have started arriving, Khales 6x24, an x5 3.5x18, and a manners eh1. My other manners ships next week along with my carbon barrels from hells canyon arms and proof.

Cross my fingers they're done by my first elk hunt in 1 month.

Also got my rack ordered from dissent last week.

I finally got my rear kicker speakers installed..

Upgrading the sound system is one of the best upgrades I've done to date. At less than 250.00, i highly reccomend it.

Also all the rest of my gun parts showed up..

    1 6.5 proof barrell 24" 1 in 8
    1 30 cal 26" 1 in 9 hca barrell
    Manners eh-1 and a manners mcs-cs for the 6.5
    Trigger tech triggers
    Ptg bottom metal
    Hawkins precision rings
Khales 6x24 lh windage moak (6.5 PRC)
    X5 3.5x18 Swarovski (300 Norma)

First elk hunt of the season is 8/11. Got a premium deer hunter to guide too..

Things are shaping up for a fun year.

Turned a city boy into an Elk hunter this weekend. I'd been bugging Luis to go hunting for the last 10 years, he finally called and said I'm in this year. I got him set up with a new gun,a shooting course, and a hunt with a good friend of mine who owns Birch Creek guide service on a private land cow hunt. He got her done at 435 yards. I had a tag, but the main goal was to get Luis an elk. I got one lined up with the muzzle loader, but it just didn't give me a chance. When we went to reposition, wind shifted and game over.

I'll go back in December when it isn't so stinking hot.

I drew one of the worst tags in Arizona, that being said was a blast. Saw 27 bulls in 6 days, Got a call from Momma that things were getting a little rough with our oldest's health so I told the boys, we need to be done tomorrow..

Set a goal and it's easy to accomplish.

    20180926_061747.jpg Elk picture.jpg

Shot him a 400 yards in his bed while he was screaming, not the bull I came for, but it was the bull we needed. Chased one bull in the 370 range and passed on a 315 type bull opening day.

Moab is now on my bucket list..

    20181002_102120.jpg

Only hick up of the trip.. 84 in a 70, time for a regear.

BTW, These 5100's are going to be gone soon and a new grill is coming.

Awesome! I'm headed to Unit 51 in New Mexico for a bull elk hunt from 10/20 - 10/24. Nervous and excited as it is my first but I feel pretty confident it will be an awesome time!

I'd go out at like 3am and listen, some of them still maybe bugling.

Other than that, get high and glass your butt off.

Thanks for the tip, I went out there and scouted multiple areas so at least I have an idea of where I'm going. Do you think a bugle call is effective this time of year or not really?

What size tires you have on her? No more rubbing after full lift, any CMC, caster specs?

255 80 17, didn't rub until my lift started sagging. I got some 8112s and a CMC kit to go in this week.

Didn't get my 8112s installed yet, but i did get to take my daughter deer hunting. It was a riot, didn't get a deer but got a consolation prize instead.

First day hunting and she got to see something die. Awesome memories that will last a lifetime.
