Folks...call Corporate (not Regional) if the Dealerships give you grief. They can not deny doing the update, or giving you the correct update. The 62-18 is the current update for all 2016-2018 "listed" on said T-SB and supersedes all previous. The 77-16 and 58-18 are NOT current.

Ok y'all! I went to the dealership right after work. And I explained the software update that was release. And I showed the advisor the TSB paper work. He didn't ask no questions. And scheduled me for tomorrow. :)

0058-18 is still relevant though as it is the only one that applies for MT and the only one that people in low altitude can reference as a problem to be fixed (stumble between 40-50) cause 62 is supposedly only applicable to high altitude WOT

MT-That's why I said "listed". As for high altitude...that does not make a difference because it then limits vehicle operation. Do it or not, but Toyota is paying for it either way and the Dealerships can not deny because they are to busy, don't make a profit or any other excuse. ;)

    Thanks for the help

Downloaded OBD Fusion and was able to finally figure out where to look for the calibration IDs. I don't know why there are two IDs but at least I know that the update was indeed performed. My dealer didn't put the sticker under the hood so I had some doubt (haven't been able to fully drive/test the change). This settled my OCD.

BTW I have an 18, so mine would end in 6100

there were some different numbers for the Canadian updates.. can you find any numbers so us canadians can be more ready when going into the dealer??

ie: TSB62-18 was the USA one and the TCI 5133 is for the canadian market??

I brought mine in to get the canadian version of 5133, and they said it would not take it, as in it wasn't an option on the laptop.

They did place the TCI 4419 - ECM Calibration: Shift Feeling Enhancements
and the truck does feel much better, it picks up like it should, and shifts much better. but this is an update from 2016...

Not sure if 4419 has to be done before the new 5133...Would anyone know? I do not believe my dealer is giving me the run around, i know the service rep pretty well...

Got mine done today, had to haggle with the service advisor for a bit and told him to talk to the tech, advisor wanted me to leave it overnight I told him no way. Tech went on a test drive with me and I replicated the stumble.
Was in and out pretty quick
Tech was a fellow taco owner so he had no problem hooking me up. Drive home was a great improvement, will report back after a week or so.

I didn't really know where to look at first. Poked around a bit and found it in the MONITORS section under the MODE$09 subsection..... IIRC

That is what some are saying. I started noticing that it was wanting to shift into 4-6 quicker than I wanted so I did something that most have done the opposite. Where most have said they put their SSP away, I put mine back in and set it to the default setting to force the transmission to learn the aggressive shifting similar to if you drove it like you stole it. This way I don’t have to drive like that, and hopefully the transmission is learning my driving style because for all it knows, I’m shifting the truck not the SSP. I’ll stop that after 4-5k miles and see what drive is like then.

If it's an ECU flash, how does it reset? I've never had a new flash return to an older version. Unless Toyota is different than any other manufacturer. Should be one and done unless it's reflashed.
