Overland Expo East 2018

Little less than 3 months away....
I’m registered and ready to go!

Who’s going this year to Overland Expo East 2018?

This will be my first year attending and first time visiting North Carolina.

I would like to have a Tacomaworld camp for everyone attending.

 

We're waffling on it this year. We went to the previous two at Biltmore and it was good, but last year I felt like we just saw all the same stuff we saw the year before. Also, the prices also went up.

 

I’ve never been before. Yes it’s really expensive to do the overland experience including classes like $400.
I volunteered for two days. If you volunteer it includes free camp pass and vehicle permit for the weekend.

 

It's fun, no doubt about it. The first time we went we had our kids and didn't enjoy it as much because... kids. The second time was better. If you've never been it's definitely worth it to see all the gear and stuff, and to plan how to blow all your savings.

I’m going by myself leaving the kids and wife at home. No I hear you it’s hard to enjoy yourself when watching your kids.
That’s what I’m scared about....blowing my savings lol

Ill be in the area from the 6-11th. Ill be there all 3 days but leaving pretty early on sunday.

 

Itll be my wife and I. Not too sure about kids yet

 

I'll be there for the whole weekend. I'll be set up at the Mobtown Offroad booth so come by and say hi.

I'm still deciding, it will be my first expo and I'm pretty nervous how its going to go.
From what I read, I am for sure not bring my one year old.
Is it worth it?

It’s my first time going as well.
I signed up to volunteer for a couple hours a day. By volunteering I saved money on camping and entrance fees.

 

You may spend more time taking care of the kid than enjoying the expo.

 

I might volunteer now too, I was just reading about it.
It doesn't sound that bad to get in for free since I have to drive 5 1/2 hours and spend tons of money already to get there and during.
Plus it gives even more of an experience.
I'm stoked now, I cant wait to meet yall!

 

I’ll be driving 14 hrs one way so any where I can save for gas money is a plus.
Volunteering shouldn’t be too bad plus you get to know people.
