The Claims Adjusters at progressive are shady as fuck so beware when they offer you a settlement on a bodily injury claim prior to having your treatment completed.

Backstory is I was rear ended in July and it flared up my lower back, gave my nubmness in my legs, keeps me up at night, and well just sucks. I went in and got an MRI and have been going to PT and Acupuncture twice a week. Talking to my Physical therapist, I've got at least 4-6 weeks left at least until I'm recovered..

So last week I get a call from the insurance claims adjuster with the usual pleasantries, then he tosses out we'll pay you 2500.00 right now for your pain and suffering. I said no for a myriad of reasons, most the biggest of which is, you haven't seen anything about my claim. He also said I could finish my treatments..

Last night I open the mail and get the attached form.

After a little closer reading, which a lot of people don't do, I realized that his deal would have completely screwed me for getting better.

So be extra careful dealing with these sleaze balls.

They aren't one of the cheapest insurance policies around for no reason. Is Progressive insurance your carrier or the other driver's?

That's just a normal insurance practice, they aren't in the business of showering everyone with money, the less they pay out the better they are doing.

Yep, just their business model. Although some seem to be stingier than others.
