Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S Review

Getting these tires installed today, along with 4runner TRD wheels!

Here it is! Went with the 265/70/17 btw. 34 psi. I only had 600 miles with the stock wheels and tires 31-32psi. I can feel the road a bit more then stock. Still need to drive around some more. They look great though! Also I need to clean them up a bit.

 

Damn you! Now I must spend money 4S or LT?

 

I went 4S because of the snow rating. But I live in Utah and hit the ski resorts a lot.

 

Put these on Friday 265/70/17 4s. Doing great so far

I did a chalk test and on my truck that is stock aside from maybe 250lbs in racks and steps, about 31 cold is perfect which equates to 34 on the highway, 35 if it’s really hot out and they are riding SO good

 

Damn I want these! Do they have 285 or 255? Looking for something a little taller?

Coming from c-rated ko2. I liked the piece of mind d with load c. Not sure what to get. Mostly highy with some fire roads when camping

 

Awesome write-up. I want to keep stock suspension and plan to have a similar amount of extra weight carried around. I definitely am going to consider these when my stock Wrangler needs replacing. Great looking truck.

 

Thanks for the shout-out! You won't be disappointed in the tires. Rare (in my experience) to find a good, tight cornering, wet loving highway tire that is completely competent off road (within reason, of course!)

 

no brainer buy these if you're in the market for this type tire. just home from 100 mile test drive. I'd rate them all that plus tax. zero dif noise from stock Michelins at 75 mph on turnpike a big factor for me. 800 mile trips to Colorado to ski I have no worries getting there deaf from tire noise and i'm sure I will enjoy the extra traction while there hopefully in deep snow.

 

Thanks for the write up! My current tires are basically toast and I've been struggling to find a new tire to go with. Looks like the discount down the road from me has these for $147 per tire, plus some rebate action. I suspect with labor day around the corner there will be more deals available. Gonna go talk to them in a bit.

 

I bought a set Of at3 4s from discount tire direct for 515. They price match and beat the online prices. And i has it shipped and installed at a discount tire store for 160 with certificates

 

Anyone do some serious offroading with these yet? California desert trails can have some nasty stuff but don't go out too often.

 

Thanks for sharing, I'll keep that in mind! The discount tire I go to didn't have any in stock, so they ordered a set of 265/75/R15s for me. Hopefully when it comes time to pay I can negotiate based on what the online prices are at the time. Then I'll put the rebate towards getting my spare replaced.
