No problem, happy to answer questions.

Go for 650 if you have bumper/winch/sliders/skids.

I'd probably leave the 13 x 600 and see if you can get enough lift out of it. If not, then a 14 x 600. Don't think you have enough weight to justify a 650 unless you're shooting for 3" of lift (which we don't usually recommend).

I'm sure there's someone here that can help...

What's the longevity of Fox shocks like in a location like the Appalachians? Do they corrode badly? Will they need some sort of coating like cerakote or just a yearly or more often lube applied?

Ok I was just hoping to not change the spring after install.
I'm looking for 2 1/2" after sag up front and 2" after sag rear with the RXT on the 2nd setting.using the 2.5 extended travel front and rear.
If that's not recommended then would 2" up front and the RXT on the #1 setting netting just under 2" in the back be acceptable..?
Want all I can get with out having too many negative effects.

I’m a 2nd gen so you’ll be heavier to start, but I have 2.5” lift with the stock 600lb coils. I have a about 125lbs extra upfront between winch and US offroad half bumper. It rides great even preloaded past foxes reccomendation. So I would assume your gonna need at minimum 14” 600lbs, and maybe even 650lbs.

    Fox Familia,

This question is for 2nd Gen owners with 2.5 coilovers up front.

If this is the way that it came from Fox..........1.925" of collar = 27 threads showing = approx 3" lift.

Would I thread them up so it only shows 1" of collar (13 threads) if I only wanted roughly 1.5" of lift ?

Or do I have to factor in motion ratio, etc....

You have to put them on the truck and ck...
But just turn them and show less treads to lower the truck.....

What is the general opinion of the Level 1 kit? I sold my 5100 and wanted to go with a full kit with coilovers. I am between the level 1 and the 6112/5160 setup. My truck spends 90% of the time on pavement and commuting so I don't need the most extreme setup.
    Thanks guys

I have a Fox setup on my 3rd Gen TRD Pro.
I am adding full skids and sliders.
Eventually I’ll be adding aftermarket front and rear bumpers. Want to run 33s.
I’m on 265/75/16 now which is close to 32.

When I add all this weight, what Fox setup do you guys suggest swapping to? I’m assuming #700 coils and 2.5. But not sure if I’ll need to be adjustable or if 33s will work without chop. Really wish I could just swap coils on my existing setup and adjust for height, but doesn’t seem to be possible.

    Note*
I have a bedrack and RTT but don’t keep mounted unless I’m camping.

Where is everyone buying their fox kits from? Does every vendor charge extra for the heavier/longer springs? I’m looking to buy a full kit.

Just installed my fronts, 2.5’s with 14” 650# from @HeadStrong Off-Road. Got 2.5” on the drivers side and 3” on passengers side as it came from them. I’m going to lower the passenger side to 2.5” to make them even. Now just have to do the rear.

Cool. Did they charge you extra for those springs?

They did charge me extra but it wasn’t bad. Accutune has also very good pricing with switching out springs, I just wanted the whole kit.

If I’m understanding it correctly, Fox doesn’t offer 14” 650lb springs as an option, so you have to buy an aftermarket spring to install. Is that right?

Yes that’s right, the spring is made by Eibach if I’m not mistaken, just gets reassembled.

Yes, that's correct. I bought mine from Accutune with a 14" 650lb spring. My truck's current weight is a wee bit light for those springs so I have almost no pre-load with a 2.5" lift. I only have sliders for extra weight. However, I know I'll be adding skids in the future so I bumped up the rate just a touch. I would advise against 700lb coils unless you really run a TON of weight. Bumpers, sliders, skids, winch, bed rack, camper shell, etc...

Has anyone just bolted the OEM 2.5" Fox's that dont require any UCAs and had any problems with alignment? I'm planning on going .5" or 1" above stock height. Which is techinally a 1.5" to 2" lift (stock 18' Tacos have 1" of lift if I'm correct?). Says front OEMs can go up to 2" and rear is 1.5" without UCAs or Leafs.

I really just want a smoother ride on bumpy open dirt roads and potholes/dips at medium speeds. Also, I'd prefer not to change out my UCAs or leaf springs as I enjoy the stock height (wouldn't mind an extra inch) of the 18' Taco. I do not do any rock climbing or muddin'.
If the future I may be pulling around 4000 lbs at most.

I’m pretty sure the pro has the same UCA’s as other trims so I don’t see an issue. I’ve seen guys run close to full 3” lift with stock UCA. I’d say go ahead and do the install with stock UCA and see how the alignment goes. If you need UCA’s, SPC Light Racing is a repuatble brand and not too expensive either.

I don't have OEM 2.5 but I do have standard length 2.5 installed with stock UCA. No issues with alignment.
