BFG TA/KO2's for me, mainly because I fell in love with the original KO's that came stock on my truck. Just had put on the 295/75r16 KO2's 2 weeks ago.

What kind of deals do they have on big island? And what size do you plan to go with?

My truck came with the BFG KO’s, like Island Cruiser, but when I went to 285’s I wanted something a bit more aggressive.

I really liked the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3’s, which are very similar to the Cooper ST MAXX.

I’m currently on 35x12.50 Toyo Open Country RT. They have been solid with good road manners.

These days, the popular brands seem to be Nitto Ridge Grappler and Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Can’t go wrong with either KO2s or Duratracs.. size will be a consideration. 275/70/17 is only in KO2s and not Duratracs.

EDIT: hate when my wife gives me reasons based on logic.. I have a speaker, it works fine. Don’t need another one, especially when someone who camps with us has something that is loud enough when we do movies.. “if someone has something, let them bring it. You don’t always have to have everything”, she says. Unfortunately she is right... don’t really need to spend the extra $150...

Guess all recently bought speakers will get returned shortly.. was fun though.......

My buddy turned a cooler into a speaker system with amp and subwoofer. Marine speakers and cooler makes them water proof it’s crazy awesome.

Run away from this site...your wallet/bank and significant other will appreciate this word of advice.

    But, seriously, welcome!

If you're not in a rush, you can follow some of the other threads and there are usually discount (especially during holidays) and group buys that will save you some money here and there.

I agree with sliders if you plan to go offroad or park in tight parking stalls. Those people that fling their doors open are dangerous.

Hit up @U4x4808 to see if he can square you away with some deals with parts he has in his inventory -- sliders, leaf spring packs, U-bolt flip kit, bump stops, etc. -- mention Hawaii Tacoma Crew Facebook page.

And if you ever need some work done, @hacklerjason has probably done it once or thrice.
