Are you giving advice to someone who is already cut? What’s your bf percentage?

Thats what I’m sayin. Dude is already shredded. He just got down to damn near comp leaness. Now cut again?

I guess its almost addicting when you get super lean. You wanna keep it that way.

And my BF was 8% not that long ago. Now? Not thinking about it. Have been unable to get to the gym in over two months w/ health issues.

I’m about ready to go Keto to lean up before the original plan of a two year bulk.

@Supra TT what were your carbs at before you started your reverse diet?

I certainly don't want to cut again, but after this I am exciting to hit it hard into bulk mode. I want to reach #240 this go around (max weight was #230 before cut). I am only doing it because of our vacation, we will be on a beach most of the time, wanna stay lean looking. I mean, already am lean but just trying to tighten up again.

Nothing wrong with advice or discussion, sometimes it prompts good insight :)

    Thanks for the compliment :D

It's really addicting seeing the striations and the muscle structure. It's hard for me to lose that but I know it's temporary.

On my final stretch of cutting I was about 180 carbs a day. I did some carb cycling for the first 8 weeks then the final 4 I kept it around 180 a day. Calories were about 2.3k a day.

This week I am about 200 carbs a day, next week will adjust depending how I look after this week, but I want to keep it about 200 for these next 3 weeks. Calories right now are about 2550/day

180 shit I thought it was lower than that. I know your fat was pretty low temporarily.

I’m going to try Keto for a while. <30g of carbs per day.

I’m eating at like ~2000-2300 cals per day but currently I am not exercising at all.

Goal is to focus on lean mass retention and drop body fat a few lbs to get back down to 8%

Ive been advised to eat gluten free moving forward and I’m not 100% sure when I’ll be back to the gym full time like I was so I’m hoping the Keto is a good GF diet while also helping with fat loss while not doing killer workouts every day.

    We will see.

If anyone has any advices let me know.

Fats were low because I didn't calculate right lol. Once I input it in, they were more accurate (lowest was like 65g a day). Right now I am roughly 85g fat a day. When I carb cycled, they were lower carbs than that on the low carb days. Also when I count carbs I count from veggies. I eat 1 cup spinach, 8 asparagus spears, and 1 cup red/yellow peppers every day.

Keto is good, lots of great keto foods out there. Me personally, I struggle with dairy (bloat and the shits) which dairy is great for keto, so I'd struggle with that if I ever tried that route. Not sure how you do with dairy, but maybe keep that in mind. Good luck!

My fiancé has celiac so I’m well versed in the GF world if you need any advice/tips. I eat fairly gluten free since we meal prep and eat a lot of meals together. I still hold on to my pre workout pop tart everyday though

I’m fine with dairy. I eat cheese and cottage cheese daily. I also don’t struggle with heavy vegetable/fiber consumption.

Whats wiggin me out is 120ish grams of protein per day.

An attorney I work with is shredded and has been on keto for years. Hes helping me start this and says not to get freaked out by the low protien. You won’t lose mass.

Also the no more counting cals part has me out of sorts. I’m probably going to track everything but not restrict based on calories. After this many years counting calories is a compulsion.

    Glad to know that!

I refuse to give up beer. But I will sacrifice everything else for now. And of course Keto pretty much means very limited beer consumption anyways.

Do you guys pretty much never go out to eat or are their places you trust?

A friend of mine was Dx with the same autoimmune condition I have which is heavily assoc with gluten sensitivity and celiac. She has tested positive on blood tests for gluten sensitivity but has not done a biopsy yet. I have not tested positive but might just be a matter of time. I’m trying to help her through it and know how to be celiac strict so when we hang out I can do GF meals or go someplace thats GF but I think its hard to find places that dont carry cross contamination risk.

There are actually a lot of places that are really good about it. We have 3 different restaurants in our area that are owned by people who have celiac in their family so they either have completely GF kitchens or dedicated areas for it. I do cook a lot, but I wouldn’t say we go out any less than other people do.

A lot of places have GF and you wouldn’t even know it unless you start looking. For instance, we go to chick fil a all the time and she can get the grilled nuggets and fries. They also have GF buns but she likes the nuggets more. Most Mexican restaurants and tacos are good with corn shells and basically anything at chipotle. A lot of pizza places are good about it too and jersey mikes also has dedicated slicers too. This was all stuff I was oblivious to before lol

I’d say she gets sick more often when we go to dinner parties or events at someone’s house and they make something especially for her. I’ve been cooking for her since our 6th date (I think), and I haven’t gotten her sick...yet

Today is leg day. Elbow has been feeling waaaaaaaay better since i started using wrist wraps. Been using them on my OHP, bench etc .Also have been using one of those hand exercise grip things while I drive which is usually 2 hrs every Monday. Seems like the golfers elbow is almost gone, tennis elbow on the other side is still there but not as bad.

On week 2 of the 5 3 1. Seems to be moving good, trying to incorporate the boring but big after the main working set.

Lifters are great but very one dimensional. In the gym if your weight lifting, you want a trainer shoe. It has a flat bottom where a running shoe has an arch. Also a training shoe is slightly wider and had a larger toe box. This allows your foot to sit flat in the shoe.
