LED Rear Turn Signal Recommendation

I'm looking for recommendations for an LED bulb to replace my 2015 Taco rear turn signals. I don't want to mess with a load resistor back there so preferably something with the resistor built-in. (Yes, maybe some day I'll mod the relay but for now the load resistor is easier)

Poked around on Amazon a little but then I thought folks here have surely done this and can shed some light (pun intended) on this.

Does your truck have DRL?

 

If your truck doesn't have DTRL, then the flasher relay for LEDs is like $10 and a 10 minute job of replacing the relay.

If you do have DTRL, then that's when you have to solder in a resistor to replace the shunt resistor on the flasher relay, which is also relatively easy, but a tad more time consuming.

Personally I wired in tail-as-turn modules from diodedynamics.com to utilize my running lights/brake LEDs to work also as my turn signals.
I plan on getting some white LEDs to put in place of my old turn signal bulbs and splicing them into my existing LED backup lights to have more light output when backing up, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

But as far as quality LEDs go, I would recommend vleds.com (pricey, but they're worth it). Or superbrightleds.com for something more economical. There are also some suppliers on here if you look around, can't remember who they are though.

I do have DRL which I've already replaced with LED and a load resistor. I like the idea of modifying the flasher relay if it really is that easy. Would save some heat from the load resistors while the DRLs are on. Do you have a link to the relay mod?

Actually, come to to think of it, I did this with a .1 Ohm resistor with the DTRL relay and it worked under normal operation of the turn signals, but I still got the hyperflash when I stepped on the brake. This was of course due to the tail-as-turn modules I installed in my rear tail lights. After that I reverted to not having DTRL and installed my old non-DTRL flasher.

I installed Triton V6 LEDs in mine a few months back and am very happy with them. They're not cheap, but they're very well built and you can order plug and play resistors that are equally well built.
