Funny thing..... last night i messed around with the numbers a bit. The 05-11 numbers didn't work for me, i had to use 12+. So i kept everything the same except that i changed the X to 0001, and / to 0001, and the output format to 10. This morning on my way to work, my temp stayed around 115 for about 85% of my trip (4 miles or so), then went to 145 at the incline by the interstate. It's never stayed that low since I've had the numbers plugged in. Will do more driving/longer trip later today/tonight. I'll see what it says. I'm probably getting into this way harder than i need to :anonymous:

Ok, just got home from work. My 4-5ish mile commute home took about 18 minutes with heavy traffic at an ambient temperature of 92 degrees. About a mile/mile and a half from home sitting at a red light still in dense traffic, my trans temp went as high as 194 with my coolant temp as high as 194 as well. Upon the green light and moving, the temp dropped drastically by about 8-10 degrees. I would say that this trip's average was about 158 the first half, then 185 the second half. I have noticed that the temps would fluctuate up/down instantly 15-20 degrees at times while driving.... which i have not really seen before i messed with the numbers. The temp would typically either stay to same or rise, would sometimes fall, but not within 1-2 seconds. Going to a buddy's house later (longer trip), so I'll keep an eye out then too.

You can lower the trans temps pretty quick by bypassing the radiator. With an external cooler and the radiator bypass I typically don't get over 175 in city traffic with air temps around 113 today.

I've been seeing 158-175 here recently. I'm over reacting :anonymous:

I have figured out that a lot of red lights and heavy traffic pisses off both me and my trans :D

Just as an FYI next time take the inner fender liner off the DS. Take the bolt out of the bracket that hold the brake lines and access everything from the inner fender including pulling the starter I can do one in about a half hr.

Yeah I read all the same stuff you did including one where a guy disconnected the y-pipe and removed the manifold.

That's what I said. Although the old caddies with the Northstar engine had the starter under the intake manifold that was always a fun one to do.

They made a statement on their Facebook page about potential investors buying the business or something. Sounds like money troubles.
