The Nanny Nav system in our 2017 DCORSB does not allow a destination search while in drive. Is there a solution to this babysitter?

I think if you buy the rear camera button/ kit it allows for it. It's basically tricking the system in to thinking you're parked

    Here is the schematic for:
    1. Anytime Rear Camera (If you done with Front/Rear Mod. then ignore this info.) [pin2].
    2. A/V input into HU (meaning Smartphone mirroring mod.) [pin 11, 15 and pin 12, 25 and 26, 27, 28 and 13, 14].
    3. Navigation Lockout Bypass (meaning you can enter address in navigation system while the truck is in motion) [pin 17].
Pick one or do as many mod. as you want. Again, this information is for education purposes, I am Not Responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from information above and below.

Cut the wire on pin 17 of the 28 pin harness on the radio...done. If you want the flexibility to turn it on or off add a switch. I installed a switch but leave it open always. Nav work perfectly and all functions are available while in motion.

I have the bypass switch wired up on mine, and leave it bypassed almost 100% of the time.
At least on mine, it DOES impact functionality... I can still use the navigation and it gives route, my location, etc, but the turn-by-turn won't work when the lockout is bypassed. Additionally, the GPS seems to stop updating if I try to toggle the bypass without turning the truck off and back on.
I haven't done very extensive testing because I'd rather just use Google Maps anyway, but that was my experience.

Edit: I actually tried this again yesterday, and turn-by-turn DOES work now...?? Maybe it was some kind of random coding glitch that one of the entune updates happened to eliminate.

I noticed this today too...it wouldn't let me do an address search while I was driving. Is this normal?

If you have the destination already saved in your Nav you can set that as you are driving.

I've never owned a car with nav (dating back to 2007) that allowed you to input on the move...……...

I think the Gen I Hyundai Genesis allowed access while you were moving.
