To be fair though, this section is bombarded by immature teenagers posting troll threads daily, so it's kind of a conditioned response for some unfortunately.

Yeah, but not all of us hate them, just accepting of their faults. And some of us grew up when it was normal to “troll”, it even happened with TV ads between car companies, this classic for example:

I think we're all tired of "trying to convince" someone to like it. If you like it, great, if not, dont buy it. Jesus, you're spending the money, not us. Be an adult, make a choice. It's not a lack of people recommending fixes. If you look at the top ten recent 3rd gen posts, at least 3 are about the GD TSB for the ECU. It's all been beaten to death.

I wish I would have bought the 2019 Ram Rebel instead of my Tacoma. They are bad ass trucks! Lol. A local dealer had one marked down to 44k and pretty loaded.

I doubt he even test drove it. Tacoma isn’t going to have power. Which mid sized truck does ?

The twins feel pretty nice. It felt better than the 6 liter I was trading in if i'm honest. I was very surprised by it. Almost enough to make me overlook the rest of the truck...but not quite.

Ranger is gonna haul ass if it’s anything like the ecoboost F150s. This forum is unique in that there is a lot of disappointment (some just some not) expressed with the very truck the forum is about and just as much red assed defensiveness (some just some not) of the truck. I only mention the Ranger because of the ecoboost engine it’s being offered with, as both ecoboost options for the F150 will move the truck quickly and effortlessly. All things aside I think most wouldn’t complain about having more power.

Try the MT. Drives completely differently. I came from 2 full sized chevy's, 2 F-150's and one Dodge, all with sticks. The auto Tacoma I tried out was disappointing here at altitude, but the MT I eventually found (2016) has been pretty good.

Typical broyota response => there's a sweet OVtune and TSB, get the off road bro

Not sure if the OP is a troll but the truck is fine, transmission is fine, drivetrain is fine. Dont over think it. I get 22+ on my commute, truck will pull when asked no problem.

Don't like it? Get a full size v8 and enjoy your 17 mpg

I actually like the first gen version, at least it LOOKS like a truck unlike that late model abomination

I dunno. It's like the Avalanche. Be a truck or be a car. Be the best at one or the other. I guess it's why I have a hard time with crossovers.

I get your point... I own a crossover too haha but yea my father-in-law has one and they're actually pretty spacious inside and I've used the bed moving furnature. I might've even considered one as I do no off roading but the new version is the most God awfully designed vehicle I've ever seen... its even worse than that Kia sol :puke:
