D R Horton so basically the biggest game in the nation. I know about the reviews being meh but I also know enough that it comes down to the crews not the national reputation.

I'm sort of on the fence about getting another home inspection- good CYA or overkill?

Sweet man, our home is DRH and we’ve been nothing but happy with it, no major issues. If Tyler or Denver is your agent with DRH, they’re good people.

For us, we skipped the inspection before closing, because EVERYTHING has atleast a 1 year warranty. At about 11 months we got an inspection and the few things they brought up we put in a warranty claim for so they’d be finished at / before the 1 year walk through.

From knowing Tyler for 10 years and Denver for about 2, I’d confidently say that most people do it that way.

Got back from Montana yesterday, specifically the flat head lake area. Man that place is pretty, Id love to live there just need to figure out what type of work is consistent and stable in a less populated area like that haha. A lot of fires in glacier made it fairly Smokey though, and kept our trip up there to a minimum. Here’s a couple pics for your enjoyment!

She pulled great, but was all the way down in the back when the containers were loaded.

Last night I dreamt that my new girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and I were moving into a new house somewhere in Maricopa. We needed some 3/4" bolts to assemble some storage racks in the garage so we took a trip to Home Depot. On the way there, a Hillary Duff song came on the radio. I started singing along and it immediately caused a fight. She started penning some lyrics to a song about the fight from the passenger seat. She seemed to calm down by the time we got to Home Depot. We went inside, started looking through the bolt bins only to be approached by Home Depot employee Tony Stark. In a weird twist, Taylor Swift and Tony Stark revealed they were actually related (matching initials), and we all agreed to have dinner that evening at the Cracker Barrel. In a further twist, Home Depot was completely out of 3/4" bolts.

I really don't know how this stuff popped into my head

When I'm old and I retire I'm moving to Montana. Great place, great fishing.

Agree. I’d be game to love there now, just need to find reliable work haha. Some times I wish I was in IT so o could have the ability to work remotely and have location not be a huge deal.

I'm in IT and I work from home. I want to move to Livingston and prolly could swing it now. The issue is at times I do have to go into the office somewhere and my company has nothing in Montana. From Livingston you have to drive to Bozeman and catch a flight from there. Makes the travel a lot longer.

Working from home sucks. I hate it. I’m way more productive in an office than I am sitting in my room in front of 2 24” monitors on a conference call.

It's hit and miss. I've been doing it for 4 years now. I love the amount of free time I can get during the slow days. But it pisses me off when a conference call with my team lasts 6.5 hours and could of been resolved in 2 hours if we were in the office. It's a lot slower when everything has to be done over the phone, waiting for people to share their desktops, etc, etc.

I love the fact I don't have to get dressed and fight traffic every day. I do get tired of being in my house so the first chance I get I'll go mow the lawn and do outside work for a few hours.
