I had my truck done with Known last year, but I also like FF because it's a few blocks from me. The issues I read about now and then are potential issues with rubber and/or seals (care should be taken around non oil-resistant rubber goods. May cause swelling. Fluid Film may soften some vehicle undercoatings). Don't want any issues with my cv boots and rubber weatherstripping. What's the actual answer with these fluids? Thanks

What about Corrosion-X (16oz. Aerosol Can) and how many to do the entire underbody?

did you have to peel all of the old undercoating off?
i have 22.5 year coating that is probably brittle as heck and am finding peeled away chunks in various spots lol
under the bed and rockers mainly, have not checked out much under the cab

looks like the military approves of this!

Due to Polar Bonding, CorrosionX causes common metals and metal alloys such as iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, etc. to chemically behave more like noble metals such as gold and platinum. In other words, as long as CorrosionX is present on metal, it can't rust or corrode! CorrosionX also has a dielectric characteristic, so it's safe on electronics and completely shuts down electrolysis between dissimilar metals.

I have soaked my 15 every year since new with FF inside Frame two. I haven’t noticed rubber that’s been sprayed being affected so most of it is probably synthetic rubber.

Every year I have a bonding experience with the ol' pickup. lol Get my stink on with that fluid film stuff. After a while it also gets the dirt finish from stuff sticking to it. But - rust has been warded off. I've had no problems with anything rubber getting expanded (yet).

i will tell you one thing, that CorrosionX HD is some tough stuff, resistant to normal wash off,
even took the garden hose on full sprayer yesterday to the section on passenger side rear wheel well and it did not even appear to want to wash off, touched the stuff with my finger and it was black from road grime

I should thoroughly test FF on the driver side rear wheel well (of which has a newly coated extreme duty primer looking real good after 1/2 year)
and see how well it will stuck in the key wash off spots.

also maybe its a good idea to test the efficacy of CorrosionX HD to a real time flash rust test on naked toyota frame steel, i am fairly certain that FF presented absolute no barrier to flash rust in the key splash zone during the most recent winter, but it may be due to user error on my part, applying it in colder temps and not letting it get dusty and dirty :notsure: before hitting the wet rainy streets
