I'd take it too. Not sure the next time that I'll be down that way though

Out of curiosity, about how many miles have you seen people get out of the stock Bilsteins before failure? I'm at 75k so I've got time, but I may start shopping. Maybe I'll visit @Tretiak30 for the install when it comes around.

LOL. It's pretty awesome having optional snow here. Never snows on the coast. If I want to fuck around in the snow, it's 20 miles inland...

I don't miss Ohio winters at all. When I go see the snow here, just to remind myself of what it is, I also have no worries about rust... they don't know what road salt is here!

Ok... after installing a full fox 3" lift with Dakkar MED leaf springs, I have determined that I don't have enough droop for the terrain I'd like to handle. I know removing my front sway will allow additional articulation, but I'm not so sure that's going to be enough. On my last trip out, I did A LOT of 3-wheeling! Any recommendations on the next steps to gain travel?

Bilstein B110 are an excellent way to add droop to the rear. It's the longest shock you can fix in stock location and only need minimal bump stop modification. And you'll need extended brake lines. Only $200 for a pair.

This is dakars and the B110. Everything is stock location (i.e. no shock relocate, stock shackles, etc)

I'm guessing that it will have to be the rear due to cost. Thoughts?

The B110 are only 3" longer than the regular 5100s, but it really makes a huge difference. I keep all 4 tires on the ground a lot more now.

I'm running OME rears at the moment. They seem to have plenty of life left in them, but if they ever need replacing I might give those a try.

I honestly can’t answer that. Each truck wears differently.

Yeah, I didn't expect anything concrete. More just looking at experiences from others to see what I might expect. My truck is my DD and is mostly highway miles so I expect to get more than someone who takes theirs crawling. I may have to do a complete suspension job at 100k miles and sell the stock parts if they're still usable.

Let me know when you're expecting to come through and which way you're coming from. I can meet you somewhere just off the interstate to make it easy.
