    Easy.
    1. Wet truck with hose
    2. Take your soapy wet was rag and slop it around the front of the vehicle, making sure to get it all soapy.
    3. Wash rest of truck
    4. Go back and wash front end normally

Basically this method allows the bugs to soak and soften up during the time you wash the rest of the truck. They come off really easy using this method.
Tar might require some solvents specific for that job.

I shoot them off with rock salt. Leaves my truck with a rustic look.

Seriously though, hipsi’s method. I have a spray gun that makes soap foam. It’s awesome.

My truck's nickname is "Monsanto" cause it kills colonies of bugs on every road trip. There's a few bug and tar sprays, but they do about as good as a little elbow grease.

Letting them soak is key. If you are only wiping them off and not washing the truck, spray them with quick detailer and let it soak a while ...reapplying as needed. Wipe with a damp microfiber.

Best thing I have ever found for removing bugs is a dryer sheet. Soak it in your soap bucket and then go to town on the bugs.

It has just enough "grit" to it to get the bugs off without scratching the paint.

I couldn't tell you if they still sell this, but I got a can of this from my dealer parts guy years ago and it's done the job for me.

    Part number is 00289-1BT00
