    Knocked this out earlier today. Just wanted to pop in here and say this thread really helped me out. Made it VERY simple. I installed the Leviton unit that has two AC plugs and two USB ports in the same form factor. It fits perfectly in the back of the center console cover. The gray color is somewhat similar to the console color too.

    Electronics like your PS3 might not like the modified sine wave these inverters produce. You will probably have to install a true sine wave inverter:spending:

    That probably means you don't have a onboard inverter. Short answer: No

    Just did this mod today. I used a desk outlet similar to the one above (the exact one I used was:
    Desktop Power Grommet with USB,Hidden Power Socket. Desk Hole Grommet Outlet,Easy Access to 2 Power Source Along with 2 USB Power Port Connections

    I wanted mine hidden so I place mine facing into the center console compartment, but you could just as easily turn it around and face it out the back toward the rear seats instead.

    I left the plug attached and wired up a receptacle plug on the truck side so I can just unplug the whole thing if I ever need to remove the center console again.

    No it will not. You may be able to run a constant on power wire, but I don't know where to start with that.
