Nitto Ridge Grapplers + 4Runner TRD Pro Wheels

    Got a 2018 TRD Sport and looking to put wheels + tires on it. Never done this before and have done some research on what may or may not work with the stock setup, but am still confused. Here's what I'd like to do...

    Upgraded Wheels:
    $1,025 PTR20-35110-BK (Fits: 4Runner - Tacoma - FJ Cruiser) (4)
    PTR20-35110-BK, 17x7
    Upgraded Tires: Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 265/70 R17

    OEM Wheels: 17x7.5
    OEM Tires: 265/65 R17

    I don't want to lift the truck or make any other mods at this time...and the truck does have mudflaps installed. Any advice or experience with whether this is a valid config that won't cause rubbing, etc.?

    This will work with no issues. I just installed the same rims on mine 2018 OR but I put BFGoodrich All-terrain KO2's on instead of the Ridge Grapplers. 265/70/17 no rubbing at all. Not even close. I dont have the mudflaps but I dont see how they could have rubbed even if I did.

    My lift was done this morning so Im selling the KO2's and installing 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers tomorrow afternoon. I like them better after running them for over a year on my Jeep JKU.

    This is stock height with the TRD 4R rims and 265/70/17's

    This is same rims/tires but after the lift.

    Thanks, looks good! Do you know if stock suspension height of the OR is same as the Sport? I think so, but that'd be the only difference between the two trucks.

    Actually considering a lift, but don't want anything too high, so decided to go with just the wheel/tire package for now. What did you use for the lift?

    I did same size tire/wheel on my pro and not even close to any rubbing. You should be just fine. Enjoy the much better tire!

    Only difference I'm aware of would be the front valance (air dam) on the Sport as a potential source to rub on a +1 tire increase. Height between the Sport and OR should be the same.

    My truck with a 2 inch lift and Nitto terra grapplers at 265/70/17.

    265/70/17 Nitto Grapplers on a 2018 stock suspension, no lift , no rubbing whatsoever. You won’t regret going this size . Picture doesn’t justify how aggressive the tires look. Again no lift, no leveling. Enjoy :)
