Ok so it took about 2 hours and a few busted knuckles, but plugs are changed, all of them this time, and time for more beer.

To do it without removing the sc, 2 Wobblies are required and an array of extensions. Move as much as you can easily out of the way and you can do it. I found slipping the extension mess through from up in between the top of the sc for the middle and rear cylinders have the least amount of angle on the Wobblies. But other than me being terrified at the factory installed plugs that have been there for over 100k not wanting to come loose, it went pretty smooth. I swear I was putting up to 100ft/lbs or more at times to loosen them and was scared about pulling threads.

New plugs installed to a safe 17ft/lbs with antiseize on them.

    100k original plugs IMG_2818.jpg

    And the 40-50k plugs
    IMG_2820.jpg

Can't say that it runs any better but they were for sure due

Just joking. Thanks all for explaining how it's done. I'll do mine this week.

Exactly. They are actually cleaner than they used to be with the IKH-24 plugs and 2.5 pulley!

To each his own. I believe 20's come stock, 22's with stock sc which adds a supposed 70ish hp. I have doubled that so I think I will stick with my 24's.

Also keep in mind when you put angles on torque wrenches you alter the torque value. I'm sure it's fine I always torque mine with my calibrated elbow but just sayin.

Rule of thumb is supposedly you go one step hotter per 75-100 HP increase. Stock blower adds 60HP additional to the motor, which is technically not even enough to warrant a step colder plug. After that you would need to go another 75-100 HP additional to warrant an up into the IKH24 range. I would rather go the upper tier on that and stick to 100 HP. I pulled the IKH24's today and they looked fairly nasty at only 20K miles. Like near black, but you know my story, so a fouled out black appearance would be expected running as rich as I had been. Plugs tend to like to be within an operating range of 450-850C if I remember correctly, so if the plug maintains too cool you will foul it quicker. Also, bear in mind, if you go with a colder plug over one that is hotter you actually raise the amount of unburnt fuel coming out of the tailpipe, or HC. I don't think emissions matters in texas, and from what I remember you don't have cats on yours (I think you don't from what I recall) so you should be safe.

Me personally I want to try the 22's (6) heat range plugs again and see how much better they maintain their cleanliness within since they burn hotter than the 24's. It also matters to me for emissions reasons, and the fact that gas costs an arm and a leg out here. So... There are a multitude of things going on behind my reasoning for reverting back to the hotter plugs.

My plan is to pull a plug say maybe 10,000 miles from now just to inspect and see how well or poorly they have been burning. The ones I removed today all wore fairly similar to each other so that is a good indication that the running condition is even across each cylinder.

FPR mod, and was very rich at part throttle application because of it. Computer would just dump massive amounts of fuel at part throttle. It's actually a lot cleaner now though.

I am inserting a laughing so hard I'm crying emoji here. ____ :D

I would say tree fitty for it, but it's not for sale. I Want to keep the pulley around. For research purposes. Lol. Just kidding. I still want to keep it because I'll probably switch back and forth on occasion.

I would and I totally want to, but there are no local dynos available for HP testing in my regional area.

I used to think this thing was pig slow, but now it competes with my old LS2 GTO.

At what point does one do the fpr mod?
