Are they free roaming, not enough sunshine, just a couple more thoughts.
    Found this...
Both environmental and physical stress factors can cause a hen to lay an egg with a weak egg yolk. Molting can be a stress factor in weak egg yolk. Increasing protein in the diet should help eliminate the problem. Weather can also affect the hens and possibly cause stress to their system.Sep 10, 2017

I'll have to ask them...We never had a problem when we had chickens and we just fed them oyster shell, scratch and lots of scraps/veggies etc..

Lost another chicken last night, Speckled Sussex, she liked to jump the fence and wonder. Didn’t come back last night, although she never went far from the house. Damn hawks!

Anybody here have any experience in introducing younger chickens into a established flock? We have them setup so they can see each other but not mingle, for about 3 weeks now. Young ones are about 90 days old.

My wife set it up so the younger ones have their own space away from the older ones but they can hang out together if they want. Last night I found a Easter Egger snuggled next to a Jersey Giant. They seem to be acclimating to cooler temps just fine as well. And they are not 90 days old but 60 days old.

All eggs have been normal ever since. They're putting back out consistently again too which I like.

Well the chicks that we got back in September have acclimated to the flock just fine. One is better than fine! He’s a Rooster! How old does he have to be before he starts doing rooster things? Like breeding! Hopefully he’ll protect the flock and we are allowed to have a rooster.

About 6 months or so. If he starts crowing your neighbors will hate you. Give them eggs.

He’s been crowing the last two days. Egg laying is starting to pickup as well.

Got him a crow collar. He doesn't like it much and has been pouting but still had the energy to "hit it" with one of the girls today:D
