Hey Rob you have more pics of your Taco with those copper rims? I'm debating keeping what I got or trying to grab a rare pair of those SCS ray10 brushed copper, I think they look sick.

    Thanks

Thanks! Yes, here are a couple........

This first one was right after I had the wheels and tires installed.

At the beach....... you'll notice, these metallic colored SCS wheels look different depending on the light source. A lot of people confuse them for Gold in direct sunlight.

Seems I favor the drivers side front fender angle a lot. I need to work on that. LOL

Black does look good. I think the Matt Dark Bronze would look bad ass too. I was in the hunt for those when the Coppers fell into my lap.

I've said it a million times. Any color and style SCS wheel looks good on any color Taco.

I love my grey Semas! Before I pulled the trigger on them I had been looking at the two tone Black Rhino Warlords. I think both fit the Inferno color nicely. But do what makes you happy!

Man those wheels look sharp for sure and when the sun hits them and the truck wow haha I was thinking those dark bronze as well too but I like the more "stand out" look. How rare and hard to get are SCS, especially in the copper?

Well, at one point they were considered Special Edition and were very hard to come by. Lately it seems they are more readily available and I have seen them for sale on Craigs List and on the forum independently by other members. Best thing to do is subscribe to that thread if the Ray 10 is what you want.

You can buy the SR 8 right now in Matt Dark Bronze if you want

    https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/products/sr8?variant=5908606124061

    Stealth 6 too

    https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/products/stealth-6-model?variant=26571912451

Or the F5 for that matter

    https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/products/f5?variant=26571880515

All in 17" and I was able to drop 4 of each in my cart on the site. It will only let you if they are in stock.

They are currently out of stock of the Brushed Copper Ray 10s, and usually are. There is a place called Freeman Toyota and they sell them too. Right now they are out of stock there as well. I know, why tell you if they are out of stock, dumb, but I just wanted you to see you can get them other places.

    https://parts.freemantoyota.com/scs-wheels-17-brushed-copper-ray10-copper-ray10-17

Here is a list on the SCS site here with the names of other retailers you can contact:

    https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/blogs/faqs

And just so you know, they are gauging interest on a newer size with more backspacing here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gauging-interest-new-size-in-scs-ray-10’s-17x9-w-3-5”bs.534302/

Oh, and here, just so you can see what the difference is between the Gold and Copper

I've been in contact with Marie at Headstrong and I have a personal Lift Consultant also guiding me.

My two choices are the OME, 888s with a full Dakar Leaf Pack (no UCAs required), or the Bilstein 6612/5160 kit with the HS 3 Leaf AAL and JBA Uppers.

I am leaning more towards the Bilsteins at this point.

@RobP62 I just pulled the trigger on the 888s with Bilsteins with Dakar and some LR UCAs, also at HeadStrong. For me I just wanted to lift it, Firm up the ride and go the mall....

No. But seriously, lots of great info on this forum. I don't do a lot of off-road driving, it is mostly back and forth to work. I really wanted the truck have the proper suspension should it be needed.

Look forward to the pics when you get yours done!

@AZJuice I better not see you out here stealing my plate in AZ...:rofl:

    :benchpress:

I also did Bilsteins all around, 888 up front and 3 HS AAL in back, I do gotta say the back jumped up the front ehhh for a DCLB 4x4 I wish I went 886 now, even with no bumper/winch etc I only got like 1.75 maybe 2 inch up front and it will settle more. I will more than likely just drop a spacer on each side to give a little more bump up.

@Manbun525 No worries my plate has a curious spelling of JuiceBox since that is what a former LEO used to call me. Most just call me Juice:thumbsup:

I know I'm going to include this in my "What have you done today post", but couldn't help it.

I got these tire deflators on Amazon after my beach trip to save some time next time. This particular set is a good one. Kinda helped that the case has some orange trim, but got it for the replacement tire stems that seemed to be additional to what most similar kits have. Used some orange electrical tape to make sure they don't lose their setting unless intended. Good stuff.
