22RE's are still nowhere near the reliabilty of a 3RZ. Most who speak highly of them have not had their head gasket pop YET. Mine popped at 160k and me and my dad drove like grandmas to prevent such a scenario from happening in the first place to no avail. Good motors but most will receive a top end rebuild around/before 200k. Leaps and bounds ahead of its bigger brother at the time but they were not without their own issues. Timimg chain guides are like ticking (literally) time bombs on them.

True, I feel like that gets to be way more of a problem too when pushing big tires offroad. I really want an older Toyota with a 2/3rz swapped into it. That would be about a perfect woods truck

There are several companies that make a 3.4L swap kit for them. It was/is a common topic on YotaTech before I quit that site. Main problem is that the T-Case drops on the opposite side of our Tacos and so you'd need to source a T100 tranny I believe, I dont think the stock w56 could handle the 5VZ.

What's your type of book? I read 60 to 80 books a year.

I didn't know "Finding Nemo" was a book before it was a film.
