I am currently deployed out of the US and return this month. I was hoping to purchase a RTT and have it delivered around the time that I return in mid-June, and I reached out to FSR online. They have a "live" chat rep, who seems to actually work there, so I messaged asking if they offered a military discount; Casey advised that they did.

I asked if he could email me an invoice for an FSR Original Series Small tent, and I'd pay it via PayPal. After back and forth, and being out of stock, he offered an unknown discount on some random alternative RTTs. I asked if I could get a plain and simple set of pricing for the random options he was throwing at me, and advised I was frustrated with the vague communication, since I'd already had issues with their local supplier and was hoping for a painless online transaction - it is 2017, right?

    Verbatim:

"This is getting frustrating man, I'm overseas putting in a lot of effort to communicate with you guys in regards to buying a RTT. already had the same issue with your midwest vendor which is why I am messaging you guys directly. if you can just flat out give me prices with options then please do, otherwise i dont have the time for this"

I received this from Casey in return:

"Sounds like it might not work for you , thanks for looking and thank you for your service"

I guess it is clear that FSR doesn't want my entry business in their market, and I'd probably avoid this company if you're the type who would prefer a small company to want your business to even the slightest degree.

Damn. Sorry to hear your experience was pretty lame. I kind of had a similar experience too, but not as aggressive as yours.

I am also in the same boat and am looking for my first RTT, so I called FSR with a few simple questions earlier this week and they seemed a little irritated by my lack of general RTT knowledge. I really like the product they sell, but if I keep hearing of these issues, I might not end up purchasing with them.

Had pretty much the same experience, countless delays, bad communication, took 3 wks to get my money back. Felt like a fly by night operation.
