Hi all, so last night I got sucked into a ditch. I ended up put a dent in my rocker panel and scraping some paint off my lower door. Nothing to bare metal, primer is visible. I am going to buy sliders, but before I do, I'd like to hit the rocker panels and maybe like 3 inches up with some bed liner. Any tips before I start my project?

Eyy I smashed my rocker too when I got stuck on a stump. Fun times. I had bare metal though Dx. Get some rockers that don't stick out so much. Find a good auto body shop because of the way the rocker curves in is kinda funky. You can't tell where it was repaired unless you're really looking up close. These are the one's I purchased. I'm not a fan of the tubes so I went with these. My truck is getting lifted so I went with sliders that have steps. https://www.magnumtruckgear.com/p-1110-magnum-rt-steps-black-cab-length.aspx

I would get it professionally line-x'd since it's such a new truck and you're going to want it to come out good. I wouldn't imagine it'd be that much.

I agree on getting rock sliders. Aside from providing protection, they serve as a side step.

I had the rocker panels lined with bedliner at a body shop. The guy did a really nice job. He wrapped liner around the inside of the wheel openings and underneath the body. This was done so water wouldn’t get between the body and the bedliner and cause peeling or separation. It goes up to the crease below the Tacoma bade. Cost about $1000. 936A6205-E155-4146-BFFA-6631D97DC223.jpg
