Nope, but given the success of the test build, we should have pricing soon. Then we can compare to what you're guy tells you and go from there.

Heck yeah. Thanks for the update! I'm gonna guess $2500 plus shipping. Would love to be wrong though and see it cheaper. :fingerscrossed:

They say any idea on pricing release?

Congrats and welcome to the club!

Best Cover IME especially if it gets really cold where you live

    Cover

Several boxes of Starter cubes. And of course the starter chimney.

Charcoal Rails. To set a second grate on. For the sear and 2 zone cooking.

And of course a rotisserie. Because meat always taste better on a stick. Especially if it is spinning.

Not a fan of cast iron grates or Slow N Sear myself. And have both. But love wings. And the Vortex. Don't buy the Chinese knockoffs on Amazon please.

There are also Grillgrates. But as far as need the first couple of items are it. The rest will help you want to grill more. And more.

Cover is optional. Keep the lid vent closed and it'll be fine . I left my first kettle outside uncovered for 8 years without any rust or weathering at all.

No timetable given on pricing release, but confidence in the fit/finish was something they were looking for before releasing more details. This is a step in that direction!

    I'll keep you all posted.

I'll let you know when I know more. Might end up trying to talk @Bigdaddy4760 in to supporting a group buy.

I lied. I must have pulled them at like 115 because they came up to like 123 when we ate them. Cap steaks I go on the under side with temps. Too nice a cut and too expensive to over cook them!

:smokertransformer: exactly! well, hoping we can build an extra and raffle/sell off that one to help with costs too. If it is a 2 man full day job to be paint ready, I'll take a few days off and camp out at @Bigdaddy4760 with @bvbull200 , and just get to welding and building. 4 smokers? 5 if @Bigdaddy4760 does one. 6 if @Kanyon71 jumps in :D

would be a looong weekend

I agree with the others, get a chimney starter and the starter cubes is all you really need. I have the Weber charcoal baskets too and for the cost they are nice to help organize the coals.

    https://www.amazon.com/Weber-7403-C...ocphy=9005662&hvtargid=pla-313150620220&psc=1

One tip id give is when you are done cooking, choke the fire off by closing all the vents. I then store my old coals in a 5 gallon bucket and reuse them mixed with a few new chunks of charcoal each time I cook. Congrats on a good deal! I never cook with gas anymore the flavor is too good with charcoal. :)

    all the above...

    but add in Grill Grates...

and now that $59 Weber is no longer cheap, but super awesome!

There's room at my house and I'm only about an hour out :D.

We'll knock down some plans as soon as pricing becomes a little more clear. I'm able to make long days of it a few weekends at a time if necessary. It all depends on what @Bigdaddy4760 is up for. I don't want to sound like I'm scheduling his time for him ;). Just hoping we can get at least one extra that can be sold/raffled to offset some of the costs and stuff a few extra bucks in our master welder's pockets :D.

Absolutely. I'll bounce around and couch crash if I can. But you better hide your rub stash and cleavers... :spy::laugh:

Hoping I can take a Friday/Monday off and we can get some work done. Obviously we're a ways out, but I'm just too excited :goingcrazy:.

also... not sure if I should or not... but friend still has his Large BGE for sale for stupid cheap. would cut into this new smoker fund, but I'm still sweating over it :annoyed::spending:

Thought about buy/resell but I know I'd just keep it
