    Warn Industries Addresses Recent Tariffs
    September 11, 2018

On August 23rd, under the US Trade Representative Section 301, an additional round of tariffs were imposed on more components and products manufactured in mainland China entering into the United States.

Warn continues to work diligently with our suppliers to understand and ease the impact on these items that are sourced/manufactured in China. Up to this point, we have been able to hold prices on the vast majority of our product line despite these increased costs, but now we have to ask our partners to help absorb these tariff costs by implementing a 3% price increase on all Warn products. More tariffs have been proposed for the future and the list of the affected items continues to change. We are currently evaluating how these extra charges will impact our future pricing. Warn’s first priority is to work in partnership with our suppliers and our valued customers to minimize disruption. We will notify you as soon as the full implications of these additional tariffs have been finalized and mitigation plans are in place.

This price increase will go into effect on October 12, 2018.

This will eventually effect ALL brands/models of imported winches. Warn's upper end models are US produced. Not sure how/if this will effect them. Also, most vendors buy in mass quantity. Inventory "in country" already shouldn't be effected immediately. Not sure how that will all play out though. Glad I already own 3 winches....No need for more!

Bought a VR12S last year about this time. That's on my Tacoma. Bought an FJ Cruiser a couple months back. It's sporting a VR10S. Bought a receiver hitch mount a couple weeks ago and bought ANOTHER VR10S for that.

Does the term "Winch poor" fit? I think so. Not sure what I need 3 winches for, but I have the option of pulling my trucks in 3 directions at once if the need ever arises. o_O:rolleyes:
