Not sure if this is the right place to post if not please direct me in the right way.

Ok so quick question for anyone who has a leer 122 camper shell. I am looking to replace my side sliding window on my hightop camper with an easy access or "windor" window. These are the ones that open up to allow easy access to the bed. I have a problem though I have an old school raven camper which has been put out of business. I have three options buy a new leer 122 camper, try and find a used camper with it and replace mine, or order a replacement window direct from leer.

Since ordering a new camper is too much that is definitely out of the question. Option two is something I have been searching craigslist and different apps for two weeks now with no prevail.

So now I'm at option three. I can not order from leer without a serial number and I need to make sure the sizes are the same before I do so. So my question is if anyone with a gen 1 Tacoma and leer 122 camper shell could measure their side window and tell me the rough dimensions and they provide their serial number if its a close match. Of course, I am willing to pay for the troubles.

My rough dimensions of the window are 43 inches in length and 15 inch in height.

I have an ARE topper on my F150 I was thinking about doing the same thing to. I priced the windoors they are $350 each so I don't have windoors on my topper.

From what I've been reading it roughly 250 for window and installation from leer for the windor. The only barrier I have is I don't have a leer 122 identification number

No help here but good luck. There are actually a large variety of sizes that have been used on various tops over the years and matching the cutouts is likely going to be a PITA. Your best bet it probably going to be to take out one of the windows and make a template that you can send in- if you can find anyone willing to sell you the windoors by themselves. Manufacturers seem to be loath to do so for some reason and they want a fortune for the darn things. $250 sounds dirt cheap compared to quotes several of us have gotten and posted about.

How much have you been quoted before? Do you have any idea on how to actually measure the window?

I want to say the quote I got was like $400/each or something crazy; several others got similar quotes. There are several threads in this forum about it. I had several inks but I can only fond a couple of them right now:
    http://parkin-acc.com/page28.html
    https://www.custompickup.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&c=27
    http://www.provent-windows.com/pages/english/campershell.htm
Note that one of those sites gives you some references for measuring. I figured with all of the differences out there that measuring the actual opening in your particular shell would be the most accurate. Some shells may have extra material that could be removed to allow a slightly larger window, others, like my ARE for example, have a window opening molded into the fiberglass so you can't really put anything larger in it. It really can be a bit confusing since there don't seem to be any standards on sizes.

There are several types of windoors available as well. I've seen them that were one solid piece of glass, some that had a bottom piece that slid open, others had a sliding window in the middle, etc. Personally I like the ones that ARE uses that have a screened sliding window incorporated into them since I camp out of the back. The windoors for my shell would have only been like $200 extra when I ordered the thing but I was stupid and figured I could add them later if I wanted to. Doh! :homer:

I called leer and they said they charge 375 for a replacement window for a windor.

I measured mine and it's 37.5 across. Doesn't look like we have similar Leer 122s. Mine was manufactured and purchased about 2 years ago, maybe they changed the design?
