Brought home a new to me RZR XP 1000 HighLifter a few days ago. Been wanting a SxS for a while now and finally saved up enough to buy one. Previous owner loved this machine and took excellent care of it. Meticulous maintenance and all the right parts with records and receipts. The RZR came with boxes of spare parts (new and used) as well as original OEM take-offs.

I don’t have too much to do to it but it does need a few things that’ll keep it better protected and make me more comfortable.

    As it sits today:

Just reserving that spot for future updates.

Thanks! I can’t wait to get it out...Hurricane Florence threw a bit of a wrench in my plans for this weekend. :rain:

I know, I was claiming my own spot :D Sorry about the hurricane. The 110 deg temps have stopped me going outside but at least that isn't causing property damage!

POLARIS RZR LIFT AND NEW TIRES.jpg I just added a 2" lift and went to the next size up from the stock tire size. So I gained about 3.5" in ground clearance. Its a 2008 EFI 800.

Sweet ride! I was back and forth between an XP and an 800 for the narrower width. Finding this one forced my hand and made my mind up for me.

I went with the 800 due to the 50" Regs we have here in New Mexico to be trail legal. The person that was selling this one happened to be a friend so I got a pretty good deal on it.

Was able to grab an atv/utv recovery kit on the cheap to use as a base for a proper kit. Will definitely be needing to add to this barebones set...

The Trail Armor 1/2” UHMW skids arrived today in four boxes to include the full belly skids, rocker skids with integrated rock sliders, high-arched a-arm skids, and trailing arm skids. These things are beefy! Will grab pics after I get them unboxed and laid out prior to install.

Day trip to a park with woodland trails for a proper shakedown with @OCD 08 today. Got a great feel for the machine and a good baseline prior to making any changes.

Next up is a good wash down, new skids installed, tidy up the electrical, suspension work, and beadlocks wrapped in 32” Maxxis Carnivores.

What size are the wheels you have on there now? Are you going to sell those?

The wheels are 14” MSA M12 with a 30x10x14 Moto Crawler tire. Will most likely sell them...

Here in SC there are people getting golf cart tags for them as well as LSV (low speed vehicle) tags. Both tags come with a lot of limitations regarding speed, distance, and roads.

    :goingcrazy: Its crossed my mind...

It's got a nice set of Walker Evans remote resi's with adjusters already. I ordered some new tender springs for it already which should improve the ride considerably as well as give it about 2" more lift to clear the 32s.
