I don't know if your lucky or not! It could have been over (for awhile) and done with by Wednesday, but now your in a waiting game. That little fracker can strike at any time! Good luck, hope you pass it quickly and be done with it.

When I had my Kidney stone it looked like a piece of a brown beer bottle. I took it to the Dr. and found out that it was a byproduct of the BP medicine that I was on at the time. Changed BP medicine and that was the end of that. When it moved the first time it knocked me to my knees. It took me four days to pass that bastard. Worst pain ever. I wish it on nobody.

I had kidney stones on and off again for 5 years, the various doctors couldn't find the cause until my boss (internal medicine doc) told me to look up in the Endocrine book for the table of causes, in my case it was high PTH and calcium. Had surgery to remove 2 of the 4 parathyroid glands in my neck. Problem solved. I worked for a medical school as a IT guy for 32 years and my boss essentially saved my life.

Just read this in the NY Times... I'm so surprised by the study results regarding calcium consumption and alcohol as a kidney stone preventive (that's my interpretation and I'm sticking too it!).

I had one back in 2015. Corpman knew what it was but the PA onboard said it was torsion. So they had a helo come get me and fly me back to land. only 2mm, but it was stuck and wouldn't budge. Doc told me I would be stuck in Japan for 2-4 weeks. asked about surgery and had it "removed"(Doc lost it while changing scopes) 2 days later. Flew back stateside pulled out the stent per the docs orders. worst advice ever. New doc told me it needs to stay in for a week minimum due to swelling not 2 days. since then, no issues but boy does the wife hound me anytime she sees me crack open a monster...
