Does anyone have a part number for the longer wiring harness? I've been looking around and can't seem to find it.

Is there a way to tell if any of the knock off grills are better quality? On eBay I see them ranging from $90 and free shipping to double that. Any particular sellers better than others?

Here is where I bought mine. Quality was great and, received it in 2-3 days. I did end up putting the OEM garnish on a week later due to the error messages. Once garnish went on, no more error messages. https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Front-Bumper-Hood-Grill-Matte-Black-For-2016-2018-Toyota-Tacoma-TRD-PRO/283090587251?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Here is where I bought the garnish. I ordered it on Saturday and they shipped it Saturday. Came in mail on Monday. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-2019-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Thanks, if I can’t get one from the post above you, I’ll look into this one. I just ordered the truck so I have some time. I ordered an oem garnish already

Will you tell me if the sensor housing looked like the photo below please?

Also, did the letters come on a separate bracket that mounts separately or did you have to stick them on?

    Thank you.

Yes that’s how mine looked. You can push out that center piece to put in the OEM garnish. The letters come separate with double sided tape so all you have to do is apply the tape and push them on.

On topic and NOT all at once...can the TSS-P Radar function with a metal custom grill assuming one can mount it appropriately? Would the metal interfere???

Did the 2018 OR to PRO swap using factory grill, garnish and long harness today. No faults displayed and the system functions properly. For the record...my 2018 DCLB OR did not have the lower side pins, just the 2 each top bolts and 2 each top pins.

I would like to thank sliderule01 [OP] and all contributors to this thread for making this a quick and easy task.

Just did my swap yesterday using an oem garnish. I don’t excatly love the glossy look of the garnish but it’s more important to me to do it once and have it function properly. My local Toyota dealer price matched an online price for the garnish so I got it the same day which was a plus

Took about an hour. Managed to save the OR grille and the tabs. Decided to go cheap and got one off EBay for $84 and the sensor cover for $50. I don’t suggest paying 400 plus for the Toyota one. Can’t physically tell the difference. Just my thoughts.

    Looks good!

I broke two tabs on the OR grill, that part was kind of a pain in the ass

Thanks to everyone for the great info, just a heads up for those with an 18' interested in OEM, bought mine from Bristol Toyota in Massachusetts. 2018 Grill ($180), garnish ($50) and shipping to CA ($60) came in at about $290 total. Had it been $400 for the grill alone prob would have gone Ebay or an alternative. Provided shipping info and Pro vin during online purchase, no questions asked, sale went through, received items.

FWIW, I'm totally down with the glossy garnish look, it's unique and draws my attention and curiosity. Knowing that the sensor/tech is sitting behind it just backs it up. Also, I know they have to differentiate the Pro, but this vintage style grill is just so much more classic and rugged looking than the OEM non-Pro grill. They should have put it on all of the newer models.

Wow that’s a great deal on an oem. Had I known you could get one for under $200 i would have dished out the extra $$ instead of the Chinese one I bought. Either way I’m happy with it and agree with you on the looks of the garnish
