Anyone in NY???

Couple pairs of shocks and possibly 2 mobtown recovery bars. Might work with @Subway4X4 moving through there?

 

My route is anything that takes me from AAOA in PA to Rockland County NY

I just searched the dates for the AOAA trip and I'm out of town then unfortunately. And it looks like @Subway4X4 preferred route would be 80 and I'm closer to 84.

In general, it is pretty cool meet up/ event, off-roading for all (easy to hard). Most people are pretty cool, just gotta watch out for @crazychris4124, not so sure about him... lol

 

Hey guys...

I'm going up to Rochester in late October for a wedding. It'll be my first time up there.

What in the area is worthwhile to see/do in terms of places to drive, see, etc.? I'd like to explore a bit while we're up there, dirt roads or parks or hikes or something of the sort. Not trying to do any difficult solo wheeling but wouldn't mind some un-maintained roads or the likes. Any tips from the true upstaters?

My little sis lives in Rochester, and says the same thing.

I haven't tired it yet, but gonna have to next time I go up to visit.

If it's the same thing I'm thinking of, I had something exactly like that one St. Patrick's Day when I was in New Paltz...tasted great...questionable at best for my health...pretty damn good at soaking up the booze

 

Ok.....so now I'm curious who in New Paltz is recreating these, being that I live there!

 

Even different restaurants in Rochester serve different versions of the Garbage plate. Depending on where you get it and what your tastes are you may or may not like it.

 

I should add that when I get one, I like a cheeseburger garbage plate with everything on it including hot sauce. Some are more greasy than others. Marks makes a decent one.

I'm pretty sure it's not there anymore. Place was called H.D. Dick's., it was on North Front St where what I'm pretty certain Mexican Kitchen moved into

 

Been here about 15 years. Yeah, that place went out a few years ago .

 

I live between Roch and 'Cuse. I'll have to talk with some farmer friends to see about some land use up here. There has to be better wheeling options for the upstaters.

 

I've heard of kirby's kompound, but I have never been there. I think its more of a mud bog race event. I do not think its trails though.
