I have a 2000 Mercedes Benz SLK 230 Compressor (Super Charged) it has around 64k miles on it.... have to check might be less or little more not by much tho.
It has Not been driven in 3 Years real driven that is been around a block to keep it up and is started all the time.
It is in real good Shape some small wear but nothing that affect the quality of it, clean title, 5 speed manual, Black on Black rare combo for these everything works as it should never been driven in snow.

Fast yes very fast car (had it on Watkins Glen Track up in NY doing 154 Mph before I chickened out) that was a labor day weekend back when We were in the Ferrari club, Anyways only reason this is running in my head I have a Boat project I want to do this winter and that car is right in the way and no way will it get parked outside. I'm not going to try to get Premium Dollars but it is really not a car for the Immature driver.

Hmmmmm...Nice car that is ready to drive or a boat project....

    Keep the car.

BTDT with a boat project and that is one reason I no longer own a boat nor have a desire for another one.

Depends on the boat. Building a nice wooden boat or kayak is therapeutic art. Repairing fiberglass and cleaning/rebuilding mechanical systems can be pricy/messy/costly. I’m at a place in my life where the cost and “weight” of having a toy car no longer appeals to me; I’d rather mess about with a boat. But it’s really a different call for every person.

When the boat project doesn't pan out, you will kick yourself for selling the car.

I should know better about the "Boat" projects done 4 of them and never kept them longer than one summer except the Jet Boat I have now, last one I did came in a Orange looking mess went out OK it actually floated! rewired everything engine too. Current Boat is a Phantom 17 foot 200 Hp Jet. after looking at pictures of what I have done and how much time and green got sunk into them maybe I will just pull my current one in and rework that a bit.

I'd sell it while the economy is hot. I'm sure there's some old gal looking to relive her youth as the hot flashes kick in

Until something stupid goes south on an older European car, like a heater core or some obscure electronic piece and it's half the value of the car to replace it...

But agreed, boats are money pits, too. I guess it's all in how you want to spend your fun money.

While both cars and boats are money pits, the car is a far more accessible money pit to get enjoyment from.

I have multiple (too many) cars but I can at a whim pick one and drive it.

When I had a boat, I had to plan to use it and if I even looked at it sideways it would end up costing at least $100.

I always counted on spending at least $100 for any outing if for nothing else besides fuel (since they are always pushing through a high friction substance, boats get absolutely terrible mpg).

Some people love boats and enjoy tinkering with them.

I lost that love when every time I went to get it out something was wrong with it.

I decided to get rid of my time vampires and my boat was the first to go, followed by my camper and rail buggy.

If you don't use something frequently it will fall apart just sitting there and I didn't use mine frequently enough to justify it.

You haven’t driven the car in 3 years - what kind of enjoyment is it really giving you? Personally, I’d sell the car and do the boat project if that will bring you more fun. Otherwise, commit to driving the car more. There’s no point in paying to keep a car that you get nothing out of.

Owned that Car Since 2002 went to an action at Mannheim in PA with the Intentions of purchasing a Toyota Tacoma and Came back with the Benz instead, The problem with the Tacoma Trucks they were all selling for a mere $600 to $1000 less than Retail of a new one but No warranty! and you basically had very little chance to look them over in the lot because they were all locked.

    I
I get it - I have probably put 5000 miles in 15 years on my Mustang, and it kills me. But I firmly believe they’re made to be enjoyed. For me, I’d probably get more fun out of a boat than a car at this point, but I love being on the water.

I'm the same way... water is therapeutic. Plus boating tends to be a social event shared with friends/family whereas enjoying a car for a few miles every year tends to be a solo thing.

Nice work on the restorations. You've got skills. I'd say get rid of the car and free up the garage space to keep bringing things back to life.

As it stands right now I am researching Contractors to look at the possibility of building a basic 2 car garage at the back side of the house that way I can have a real shop with area that I am not in a hurry to get cleared out and lay things out without worrying about leaving things sitting as I work on them.
