Just got quoted $1665 out the door including labor and alignment for installing a Bilstein 5100/OME 888 setup with LR UCAs. It's California, and the Bay, but still... damn.

Bilstein 5100s set at .85, 245/75r16 Cooper ATs, U.S. Rack
Thanks for this thread; it has been informative.

I was quoted $850.00 labor to install my Toytec/Eibach 600# coils, Light Racing UCAs, and Toytec 2" AAL. I already have the Bilstein 5100s front and back on stock coils/leaf pack.

This seems high to me. Anyone in the Ventura County area know of a better price? I could drive up to San Luis Obispo County or down to L.A. County, too.

    Thanks for any tips!

Ended up spending $700 out the door for the install (all labor) for 5100’s all around, 887’s, icon stage 3, tire/wheels and TPMS swap

Hey guys/gals... Looking for some suspension advice/general questions (newb on suspension stuff FYI). I have a 2014 DCSB TRD OR. I had a leveling kit on it (would def listen to the million people who caution against them and say don't bother, too rough of a ride). I just recently got a Stage 2 Icon kit installed. I didn't do any aftermarket UCAs. We took out the overload spring in the rear as per the instructions.

I paid a guy $375 to install the coilovers, rear shocks, and rear AAL. He actually only asked for $340, but I threw in a bit extra. I bought the kit separate though.

Just a few random questions... First, the guy that installed my kit left the brake line brackets loose in the rear (see picture). He said most people just leave them off, and he can cut them off, but they are best not reattached as they'll just do more harm than good. I want to confirm that. I did zip tie them for the time being since they were clanking around all over the place and driving me nuts.

Second, my front coilovers appear to be touching the front sway bar. I know there's a sway bar relocation kit out there. Thoughts on if I should bother installing it? I don't hear any noise from the touching. I also heard that there may be some sort of top plate adjuster on the coilovers that can slightly re-adjust to prevent rubbing. Will it do any damage if it does rub or touch? (As a side I don't want to remove my front sway bar, too cautious of a person to do that)

Third, I don't have remote resis, and just curious if it is something you can add later if I decide (looked like my shocks had a connector, but not sure). I honestly don't do a lot of wheeling, and it's pretty mild stuff, I just go down some washboard roads for longer distances when I go camping etc. I've read the benefit of resis is obviously more fluid to help the shocks stay effective for longer periods of time. So I could benefit if I'm doing a lot of long trips over rougher terrain.

Finally, I did the AAL with the Stage 2, and like I said, took out the overload spring in the rear. Will my towing and hauling capacity be affected (for better or worse) in any way over stock and/or over a 1.5" block? I tow a trailer here and there, and just curious if I can expect it to sag now.

Thanks for this, DDion. I've been looking for a recommended place in Tucson for installs. I'm looking to purchase the same or a similar kit from headstrong pretty soon.

I never felt the stiffness in the back some do. but my other truck is a 18 yr old Ford F250 So this rides like a caddie. But Haven't noticed any sagging with the Decked and shell mounted in the back. I got to take it for a test run to Chiva falls outside of Tucson and it did well. So, yeah no complaints.

Doesn't ICON Stage 3 include shocks? I don't get how you would install 5100s as well as an ICON Stage 3 kit...?

Looking for install recs for San Diego county. Ideally in the northern half but can drive for a deal.

Haven’t bought the parts yet so can either buy everything or just have them do the labor.

Looking to replace with 6112/5160 and Dakar medium leafs.

Install hasn’t been done yet but I’ve been quoted some ridiculous rates. One shop said $860 + 110 alignment (1yr) Another was like 800+ alignment

About to buy a jack and stands a do it myself.. But my time is limited (usually work 6-7 days) it’s not hard stuff basically plug and play. Just no time :(
