I'll let a hammer fired glock pass in a movie about a guy that shrinks to the size of an ant. :anonymous:

Are you getting it early since you're an FFL, or did the "release date" already pass?

Youtube doesn't work at my office :pout:

But, I do know that the Glock 7 is a porcelain gun made in Austria

Sure, suspension of disbelief is required when you're watching a superhero movie.
On the other hand, I just can't suspend enough belief to accept that a Glock can randomly sprout a hammer at the least convenient moment for the user. :notsure:

Smart move cutting the hammer off. Wouldn't want a bunch of insects gumming it up at an inopportune time

    Yeah, that's the scene. :fistbump:

The worst part is I'm sure a movie that size had an armorer on set or at least some kind of firearms consultant. Could've just used a Beretta or 1911 and called it a day.

Exactly. There's no way they didn't have an armorer who could have solved that for them in a heartbeat if they'd just communicated that they were going to do that CGI bit with the ants.

Watching the comparison between the 19x and the 45, I know I want one, just not sure which. I like that the 45 can use standard prior gen mags, but the 17 comes with the extended base plates.

The 19X will accept and run prior Gen mags with no issues.

My mistake, the small extension on the front of the grip at the magwell of the 19x has some interference with the different base plate found on standard Gen5 Glock mags. If you skip to 06:05 in the comparison video posted by @TomTwo on the last page it shows the small difference. Nothing huge but one of the appeals for me is that Glocks will run all mags, not sure why they'd make that small change. Prior mags will fit without issue.

RMR, I just 3d printed a plate to sit there in the meantime. Ive cut a few now for RMRs that are running well.

Hadn’t even noticed that, but confirmed it today...the gen 5 mags have a funky lip

Easy and cheap fix if you buy vickers or magpul baseplates

I’m sure it will handle like a Glock...I won’t be test firing it but I’ll def take some pics

    Yep....same old Glock...different configuration :)

I run Vickers also....no issues on 19X. Taran Tactical +6's also run with no issues.

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
How many of you guys are running gen 5 G19s?

I’ve waited a while to review mine, because I wanted to make sure I put plenty of rounds through it to really form my opinion. I love my Gen5. It took some getting used to the notch on the grip, but once I did, I don’t even notice it. My G19 has Factory Glock night sights, and a trigger Polish. That’s it. I have been concealed carrying it, more often then my shield, which is supposed to be my ccw. Side note: I just picked up a vortex venom for a PDW build I have, and I’m very tempted to get another, and get my slide milled!

Interested to hear your thoughts on the Gen5, if you have one.
