Good to know. I also thought about running 1 bomb-proof and 1 OEM to still have 2 mounts, but without the compounded vibration of 2 bomb-proof mounts.

I actually might be running one of each. Is the disk on the bottom indicative of the type it is?

I haven't looked at it in a while, but you can easily tell the difference.

Top is OEM and bottom is not. Most aftermarket mounts that call themselves bomb-proof, or whatever they want to be called, will look like the bottom one. You will feel every single vibration using the bottom one and it is possible to have random nuts and bolts everywhere else on the truck come out the threads if they are not loctited in.

Yep, I'm running one of each. The guy I bought it from said he would carry a box of extra hex head bolts because they'd rattle loose, even with red loctite. I'm doing the same, so spare box of bolts and Allen key at the ready.

Ok. So that is the same setup I will be going with. I will probably do the same with the engine mounts. One solid mount, and one OEM mount. I would imagine the extended use of compound-low can tear apart stock rubber mounts due to the excess torque.

Two weeks ago during the shakedown run I had some ATF bubbling out the top of the reservoir due to over filling it. Today came out to the garage and found a puddle underneath lol. Pressure line failure. They were pretty crap to begin with I picked up this IFS box so it'll be good to replace it.

Thanks. The passenger door is about perfect minus the latch opener being broken. I'll probably just run paracord around it for easy pulling. The driver door is tweaked hard. You have to push down on it pretty good to get it to close. For $80 they cleaned up pretty well and I'll keep a look out for another DS one.

Went out and ran slickrock this weekend. The new section is super fun. We had a blast. Ran it open/open since my compressor took a shit, or so I thought, Saturday night before we left. Yesterday I used the voltmeter to check all the wiring, everything was good. The fan would just run but no air. I was like wtf, redundant system, one of them should kick on. I jammed the air hose into the manifold flange and viola it fired up. My hypothesis is that whatever mechanism is in the manifold (I've never cracked one open or researched it) that says "I don't need anymore air" to the compressor got jammed and when I shoved the adapter in there it freed it up. Whatever it was, it's fixed and I have another compressor troubleshooting trick.

Truck made it the three hours there, five hours off and on on the trail, and four hours back home with only burning up two quarts of oil o_O. This poor 22r is on its last tire.

Wow truck is looking good! How crowded was the trail?

Also fyi I live about an hour from there if you ever need a wheeling buddy...

You should also check out deer valley, cuts from 4 over to 88. Its also a really fun trail.

I'll definitely let you know next time I go.

Trail wasn't too crowded, not the most I've seen, not the least. Maybe passed 15 trucks.

I want to go hit up DV, haven't since it's been reopened.

So without the wheel liners rocks flung up and broke the back of my marker light so the bulb wouldn't seat anymore. Got a replacement from parts geek for $30 to my door. Hacked up the old liners and it worked out well. Also picked up a new $10 shorty antenna.

    Sold my ‘85

Decided that after my third son was born I needed something with more seat belts so we can all wheel together.

I will now live vicariously through you and your Toyota Pickup adventures.

Let me know if you come across any FJ40s...

Ah bummer but I hear ya. With my little one in the mix, my plan is turn the taco into the family crawler.
