    Time zones are a pain... why not go to "Universal Time"? If it's 7am in Seattle, it's 7am in New York, and China, and EVERYWHERE. Of course the sun might be overhead at noon in Greenwich, but pitch black at noon on the other side of the planet...

    Actually I think that would be crazy hard to get used to... but recently read an article about it, lol.
