Sounds good to me. Sixth is very tall, you'll get better MPG in fifth with any load.

I drove a rental with a 9 speed. I literally drove over 1000 miles before it shifted into 9th. Found out it would only go to 9th when you are over 75 MPH and cruising level or down.

I just ordered the Hand held, dongle trade-in version. I have been running the original 1.04 91 octane version from OVtune. No other updates, TSB’s etc.
I think I got the last one? It now says Sold Out after I went back to the OVtune website to see if there were any instructions on when, where, to mail my dongle to.

Pretty sure mat said he only said the end of the month so he would have plenty of wiggle room and the tune would most likely be out “way before”

I have the same truck. You do not need the newest tsb to flash 1.05. You can do it if you want but it is not necessary.

Did you use the stock size 2.5” diameter pipe or go to 3”?

Thanks for that, I am indeed interested.

This seems to be the way to get the absolute maximum out of Mat's NA tunes. Fuck, I'd like to know what your truck is putting down after a custom tune session with him!

Oh and, in for the accumulator delete too :)

Funny, that’s where my truck feels the most powerful, from about 2500 to 4000 is the sweet spot for me

    a few...
Still lovin’ my 1.04 91octane tune after ~5500 miles on it. I patiently await the 1.05 programs because then I can capture some data logging info for Mat to work with to fine tune my truck with it’s specific updated intake and exhaust system variables.

That 10% ethanol is in all the gas here in central Texas. I once got ethanol free gas and my truck ran way better. Can’t remember where I was but it was mostly ethanol free available. Mountains of CO, northern AZ maybe?

With the Pedal Commander, the Shift Sense, and the ECT always on my truck runs great as a daily driver. The reason I want the Tune is for higher speed erratic shift issues. Climbing Mountain passes, passing Rv’s and cars between speeds of 75-85 the truck has a tendency to do crazy shifting. Enough so that when passing in big long corners it can downshift and cause the rear end to break loose. You guys think the 1.05 Tune will keep the trans nice and planted instead of erratic? It’s been dramatic enough to wake up the wife in the passenger seat. Fuel economy also seems to be all over the place. Almost better when we have our FWC mounted on the back.

Don't know about further south, but around Colorado Springs you really have to look to find any ethanol free gas. Engine mechanics are new to me, so I just found out earlier this spring that ethanol in gas is tough on small engines. Had to do a couple internet searches to find any sources of E-Free here, no way I'm paying $20+ a gallon for the pre-mixed cans at the big box stores

Edit: I've only seen the one octane of it too, 87 if I recall correctly. Was about $3.10 a gallon, which is about on par with E-91 last I filled up.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
This stuff works for me for all my small engines. Generator, wood splitter, chain saws, mower etc. Goes a long way and never had a problem the last 10yrs starting them after sitting all winter.
