O Ring Size For Catch Can Dipstick...??

Anyone know what size o ring to use for a catch can dipstick? My batteries died in my digital caliper.... (I used teflon tape as an added measure)....?

 

Im not sure due to me owning a o-ring kit. My dipstick ended up stripping the cheap threads and I screwed in a 1/4in bolt to block it off.

 

I couldn't find a suitable o ring at Home Depot but did find rubber flat washers that will work but not perfectly. I'm not sure about how long they'll last. I still will continue searching for a better fit. Maybe silicone or viton o rings...

 

its an R-04 in my oring kit. couldnt find a size. Probably best off buying a small oring kit. They are handier than you think.

 

Ebay has assorted cheap o-ring kits.

 

Try harbor freight a while ago bought a kit with a bunch of o-rings pretty cheap

 

I pulled the trigger and ordered both SAE and metric large o ring kits....

 

Been thinking about a catch can. Curious how much you collect between changes? I never off road. Do you feel it's worth it. Thanks.

 

I can get a cup or 2 out of mine every 1k. Depends on engine. There are several threads devoted to the catch can. I do mostly dirt road driving. catch can doesn't care if its offroad or not. Just keeps gunk and oil from going in the intake
