I know it works because normally i clean my suspension before i work on it.

I use purple power at home works great for me. Gunk I only use the gel. Shit eats grease

 

Simple green is pretty nice, spray the engine down with water, I’m not gonna go into detail there cause meh, spray everything with simple, let it sit for a couple minutes, rinse.

Repeat as needed I guess.

 

I’ve heard people say that you should unplug the battery and stuff. Is it really necessary?

I use the Gunk engine degreasers all the time, on my prev cars too. They work good for me. But then again I don't let my engine get all nasty. Only issue I've had is the foamy stuff doesn't always come out foamy. it's like they mislabeled with the original formula.

I use Purple Power for cleaning lots of stuff but be careful with aluminum & painted surfaces. It can discolor aluminum (turns dark) if you care & can damage paint.

 

I've never have. On my Tacoma I don't even need to cover anything. On my old car I had to cover the distributor. I cleaned a buddies car once & I had to cover his amp fuses.

 

@zero4 what grease is for polyurethan

 

Moly is used better for metal on metal contact. For poly bushings I use silicone based grease from poly bushing companies like ES or Daystar. Their stuff is much more tackier & lasts way longer.
