Anyone going fishing anytime soon? Don't doubt I'll be able to make the drum tournament in Oct. Probably just go down for a weekend in Oct/Nov and roll the dice.

I've fished Jordan lake once, we did alright. If you like to catfish you should try the Neuse and Tar once the water gets back to normal in a week or two.

Just seen FL has been hit by the red tide. No good lots of Marinas and boat ramps closed. Their fish and game are cleaning up the waters and huge amounts of fish kill.

Can anyone reccommed a good ultralight rod for crappie? I just picked up a new Lews Mach 1 reel and it needs a rod. I was wanting to get a B&M rod, but my local shop that sells them are sold out.

    St. Croix... That's $$$

Trying to stay with an ultralight.. the spring bite can be really light and I'm pretty sure i may be missing strippe with my go-to rod, Ugly Stiks.

If i could find a St Croix on sale, i may get one..

Ended up getting a Lew's Wally Marshall Speed Shooter. 6'6" medium-light, IM8 graphite rod. Looking forward to getting back on the lake soon!

Looking to fish my local lakes. Have several of them here in Rockland County NY. They range from shallow and weedy to the deep and crystal clear lakes of Bear Mountain and Harriman State Parks. The Hudson River is a half mile from me as well.

Need a very stable kayak. I’d like to able to stand if possible. Sitting all morning doesn’t sound like fun.

I have not a single clue about kayaks. Hopefully I can find a good, used one at a reasonable price tag.

Jackson makes some nice rigs too. Hard to stay under 1k though. They're made about an hour from my home town in TN. Super cool group of people from those I know that have met them.

This is why I'm researching and looking now.

You're main job now is to find me a nice, stable, used, 12'-14', SOT for cheap.

Yup. I also have multiple buddies that have bought last year leftover models for large discounts.

    How large is large?

I've narrowed down my search criteria to 12' SOP.

Less than $1k. Ideally less than $800 so I can buy other fishing gear.

    Thanks!!!
