    Nah...

I've been told I wouldn't notice a change in performance. However, I did have my original linings and shoes replaced in June 2018, at a little over 84K miles.

I have owned a 1994 Toyota pickup since new (disc/drum). ~180K miles now and have never changed the rear drums.

Since I lost my ABS with the SAS, I've been thinking of converting to rear discs with a proportioning valve. My rears lock up all the time now. Fronts are still strong with 37s, but back is too strong. I just figure rear discs would be easier to adjust and be consistent.
Of course I'll do just the BPV first and see how it feels.

you could add the prop valve now and dial in your rears till you convert. if your rears are locking up first then thats an issue

Yep. I plan to get them in soon. They lock up real early. These days I give the car in front of me a lot of room. Especially when it's raining. Glad I don't live on Oahu anymore :D

I dunno if anyone has been able to retain ABS with a solid axle conversion. Yes, it's possible, but probably not worth it.

I THINK I bumped my boss's car while backing into my parking space at work this morning...

Luckily, there does appear to be any damage to either vehicle!

However, I'm wondering if I should install a rollpan so I don't have that damned back bumper sticking out...

    Another "middle school bully story"...

When I was in 6th grade, we were living in the town of Oak Harbor, located on Whidbey Island in Washington.

There was this tall blonde kid named David Aarons, who was originally from Alabama. His grating southern twang would have been a lot more tolerable if he wasn't such an asshole.

I would also like to point out that I seem to remember him turning 13 in late 2000 or early 2001. This would have put his birthdate somewhere in late 1987 or early 1988, and he was still in 6th grade! He routinely called me "dumb" and "stupid"...

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

When he found out I thought that Chevy was better than Ford, he made fun of me for that, saying Ford was better.

One time in science class, he purposely got up probably half a dozen times under the guise of sharpening his pencil or talking to the teacher. However, he went out of his way to walk past my seat, and kick it HARD. I wanted to leap out of my seat and pound the shit out of him by the second or third "walk-by."

Thankfully, he seemingly moved away before the end of 6th grade.

Yesterday, my boss sent me to Staples to buy a $300 wifi printer and a package of paper clips. When I'm making such expensive purchases for work, I use business checks. Of all the things I get asked to show my driver's license over, this is the scenario that pisses me off the most.

The cashier at Staples yesterday asked to see my driver's license and I looked at her with my best "poker face" and gruffly said "it's a business check." She said "okay" and all was good! An employee who actually gets it...

Is this America or North Korea? As much as I loathe scalpers, this is America...

People have every right to resell their own property for a profit as long as there are morons out there with more dollars than sense...

FUN FACT: The dealership I work sells certain Mustangs for as much as $10,000 over MSRP and actually gets it!

I have gotten into legit "blowouts" with various retail employees over the years, simply because I did not think I should have to show my license for a business check. That's a business check, folks. As in a check with an address that even the owner of the business doesn't have on their driver's license! My biggest worry was that if the check bounced (which it has before) or something else went wrong, the authorities would come looking for me.

My boss agreed with me, and the general manager at the local supermarket was also sympathetic to this. Recently, the supermarket switched to a new system, and in order for the system to work, customers have to provide a license or photo ID the first three times they pay with a check. The people at the grocery store all know me and know that I'm for real, so the manager allowed me simply give my boss's driver's license number (didn't even need the physical license), which she texted to me. Needless to say, my boss sends me to run errands with cash or one of her credit cards whenever it is feasible to do so!

Why is it suspended up in the air? Here in South Texas, they're set on a concrete slab.
