Will I need to purchase a different 4x4 switch and do I need any wiring harness For the radio or is it plug and play?

What’s different is the switch. If I’m not mistaken it’s slighty bigger round wise so I think you do need to buy another one.
And I’m pretty sure it plugs in the same

You'll need a dash part from a 4wd truck. Yes the stereo is plug and play for power and speakers. You might need a harness adapter for the fm antenna and microphone/steering controls depending on what your truck already has.

I did my swap maybe 2 years ago. Recently the Bluetooth intermittently skips when synced to my phone playing music. I've tried removing the paring/re-paring etc. e
Everything I can think of. My phone works fine with other Bluetooth speaker's. Has anyone else had this issue? Software/firmware update for the head unit maybe?

It's so irritating I'm at the point where I'm thinking going aftermarket head unit if I cant get this fixed.

Would you happen to have the model number or link to such a center part behind the radio?

so I just bought a 2012 headunit to replace an Alpine single DIN unit that runs an amp and all the door speakers and two subs. I do not have bluetooth or steering wheel controls. Once i install the new HU from the 2012, i would like to at least have bluetooth to pair my phone to. i dont care to have a mic or to have steering wheel controls. I would also like to have the new HU run the amp/speakers as they are currently configured. What harnesses do i need to purchase to make this work in my base 2011?

This is the unit i just bought:
    IhkRFVLE8pnZnp3nMBH4JH8lyKUQthfD10I_EoMX_e47c9907ef1a3aa441c9097e59fd4523c30eb11b.jpg

    My end goals:
Replace the crap current head unit
Use the new head unit to control the current amp, subs/speakers
Use the new head unit to have bluetooth to pair my iphone to listen to music/etc. (dont really care about handsfree calling at this point)
I dont need steering wheel controls (dont have them anyways), handsfree calling (no mic install)

What harnesses to i need to make all this work? Are the factory headunits capable of hooking an amp up to?

EDIT: I found this harness during research.

I bought all the wiring harnesses listed in this thread. The head unit powers on and plays a CD and the radio tuner works with my new antenna. However i have ZERO sound output. Nothing. Any thoughts?

I only quoted so youd get a notification, but you seem like the man to ask. I have an 09, i habe installed an aftermarket doubledin pioneer hu, ive also swapped out to the newer ac controls ( gloss black housing with white light ). My question is, what would it take to make a scosche doubledin dash kit for a 12-15 to fit my 09 properly?

Tomorrow I'm pulling the trigger on a 2015 Entune radio non-jbl for my 2008. Other than getting a GPS module everything else should fit fine? Do I need an antenna adaptor? Sorry I read every page of this thread and it was a bit confusing with all these different configurations people were trying to get to work.

the leds on the newer radios are really small...theyre a pain to remove and then reinstall.

still trying to find a smaller soldering tip to make it work :anonymous:

Hope you make it look clean
I took out the 2016 radio from the truck and threw it into the wifes 09 corolla
 been there for a while since her car didn’t have Bluetooth or back up camera so it was a nice upgrade

Just a standard radio or does your truck have JBL?
