I forget the brand of mine, but it looks like brushed nickel, fools most everyone. I had to go the silicone route since my shattered knuckle is 3 or 4 sizes bigger than my finger.

Not sure I understand what you’re saying... not sure if you understand what I was saying either. For the record I have worn a QALO wedding band since my wedding... but my wife thinks I should get a nicer one for special occasions. Silicone is the only kind I can wear for work so I’m not in any rush to buy a “fancier” one to wear a few times a year.

    Who are you referring to?

I got a titanium wedding band after I had to cut off my gold one, when a hot piece of slag from welding slid between it and my finger, and the swelling started immediately .
Two things I don't like about it are, welding splatter sticks to it and I'm not going to be able to pull the dikes out of my tool pouch and cut this one off.

I'm retired now , so hopefully I don't work that hard anymore. But it is something to consider.

When I got married, we got a tungsten ring. Loved the color of it. Still the best looking ring IMHO. The two main problems I see are 1) cannot be resized. Give it long enough and your fingers will get fatter. Just a part of life. So be prepared to replace the ring. Are you and your spouse willing to do that? It's a cost, both financial and emotional. 2) If something goes wrong and they have to get that ring off, they can't cut it off. You may think this is unlikely, but they had to cut my dad's ring off once. Luckily his was gold so they were able to do it.

So after wearing it for 10 years, we replaced it with a standard gold wedding ring.

That’s a big thing over here. Silver or tungsten ring with Koa wood inlay I love the look. I would have one if my wife cared if I wore a wedding ring. Can’t stand things on my hands I don’t even own a watch.
