Finally pulled the trigger on a fully loaded 2017 turd gen, picked it up 2 weeks ago in Denver

    basic info on the truck

    2017 Double Cab Short Bed
    Premium and tech package
    Blazing Blue Pearl
    4x4 offroad

    12k miles currently

probably my favorite part was the price, picked it up for $31.5k... switch is a steal IMO.

So far right now its bone stock, below is a list of what all i have done to it and what all is coming next. overall its going to be a very basic and clean build.

if you want fun and crazy check out my 1st gen, which will be going into the black hole to never be finished after i hack it up. link is below for that build thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/blanco-taco-build.352499/

    Current things done to it

    Front end:

Rigid SR-Qs flush mounted into the face
Cali Raised behind the grille mounts
OZ USA 30" ultra spot bar.

    Suspension:
    Stock

    Wheels/Tires:
    Stock

    Interior:
    Stock

    Rear end:
    Stock.....

    Future List
Walker Evans wheels with OMF rock domes
    285 BFG KO2s
    Tufskinz everything
    more Cali Raised goodies

and thats it. like i said its going to be basic fun daily...

enjoy the only pics i have so far.

ill be posting as i go of what ive done.

taken from my thread i made on my grille idea....

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-bro-rigid-sr-q-flush-mount-grille.549566/#post-17851360

Picked up a turd gen finally last week and had some Rigid SR-Qs laying around that i was planning on using for something so i came up with the idea of flow mounting them in the pro grille...

so lets get into the process of what i did.

    Part 1:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/302693428094

Buy a china pro grille, i got this guy off ebay for $150 and shipped in 3 days and arrived perfect condition and plenty of protection, should be getting the letters here the next day.

    Part 2:

    https://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting/925223

Use the rubber gasket that comes with the SR-Qs kit and layout where you want them to go, as you can see there isnt much room to play with.

what i did was just center the gasket vertically and then lined up the edge of the gasket with a vertical line around the main center section of the grille.

    Part 3:
Now for the fun cringey part, start hacking up a perfect good pro grille.

pretty simple to do with a basic dremal. to cut one site out took me about 15 minutes maybe. sorry i forgot to take pictures of the fully trimmed opening.

    Part 4:
Trim your lights to fit real snug so edges don't peak out from the sides. The inside of the gasket works perfectly for a template but does move when your trying to trace it out.

Dont mind the gap on the outer edges of the light, this will be snugged down when you fully tighten down the bolts.

Part 5: repeat to the other side.

    Finished Pictures:
Haven't seen this done before but i think it looks pretty good, wished i had got some midnight edition but could be easily switched out for different colors, light patterns, or even SRMs.

    Enjoy

The china pro grill is close to the top of my list! And I’m leaning towards the warm semi hidden winch bumper.

I don't know if you follow Bros Fourr Speed's YouTube Page, he's got a bunch of Tacoma videos and also has some Tufskinz products. His interior looks pretty cool, he installed an LED light that comes on when you turn your headlights on. He's got Tufskinz A/C Vent Rings too!

    Figured I’d update this.

    Put 285s on with a 1” level.
    16” walker evans
    Custom TRD bro badges
    Have new taillights on order

And as of that the truck is done really. I was thinking of a hybrid bumper but 1500 isn’t worth it when I can buy bump stops for my race truck so this is done
