Alright, so I don't believe Toyota intended this to ever be a skid plate, per se. They call it:
Cover Sub-Assy, Engine Under, NO.1 and the other piece is Cover Sub-Assy, Engine Under, NO.2
So I think it's more to protect from stuff kicking up under the truck. Now, that being said, a bunch of us do need an actual skid plate there, because of the way we use the truck.
Anyway, finally layed that to rest in my head.

I sprayer the bumper with Hammer Finished Dark Bronze Rustoleum and clear coated it, I just ordered my vinyl wrap which is sort of contrasting that color.

Complete OME suspension kit, Used low mileage V6 engine swap, black powder coated Chou Seiki T15x7JJ, ARB deluxe bumper, Smitty Bilt nerf bars, Weathertech floor liners, Torklift tiedowns
OME complete suspension lift kit with:

    883 front coils
    Nitrogen Sport gas shocks
    Dakar leaf springs
    D43XL add a leaf
greasable shackles & other associated hardware for OME suspension install
    Light Racing upper control arms

Wheels: 15" OEM Chou Seiki aluminum alloy wheels with 225/75/15 Definity Dakota H/T tires. The Definity Dakota H/T tires are ok for 4x4 driving, not much on load range though, but I've gotten lots of miles out of them for regular highway/street driving. I will be upgrading to 16" wheels and to a different brand of tires that will handle load range E sometime next year.

How'd you get such a smooth looking texture?

It's not actually smooth, there's a texture to it. It was rolled on with a roller. From about 15 ft away it looks smooth. :D

How is that set up working for you now? I’m putting that exact same set up next week and I always hear mixed reviews!

I am no longer running the front nitrochargers and coils, but I am still running them in the rear with the dakar leaf pack.

Definitely a great suspension kit imo

That pic at the shipyard is cool!

Assuming you mean UCA's when you say A-arms up front....
