@GOTSAND?18 the whole sleeping platform is removable... it is secured with some bolts with wingnuts for easy removal. And it breaks down into 3 sections. I can have it completely out in about 10 minutes.

Wow really clean setup. How and what did you use to finish it? A question i like to ask all the drawer/sleeping systems is "is it weather proof if i didnt have a topper?"

This is a nice build, well thought out. I have built different set ups in different trucks over the years. I have opted not to anything in my current truck to allow for max sleeping room. Claustrophobia has creeped into my life and after my last trip I think is time for a small trailer. I do miss this type of setup, nice job.

@UCantHeng i used Home Depot exterior latex paint/primer.... “grant grey” is the color in a semi gloss finish. I used a roller and brush to paint it. I wanted something easy to repaint when it gets scratched later on. The platform is not water tight... so something like this probably wouldn’t do well with out a shell unless you use marine grade varnish and seal all the cabinets to be weather tight.

Wow, this is really nice. Very clean and simple and still alot of room for more gear. How do you think washboards are going to treat it?

@brownspaceman I’m not really understanding what you’re asking me.... washboards??

miles of these wreak havoc on well constructed wooden platforms in my previous experience. my solution has always been an Oprah-style approach to joint braces... "you get a brace, you get a brace, you get a brace"
