I did this a last week. 265/70/17 toyo open country at2 in a SL rating. New trd pro Sema wheels. I did do the Bilstein 5100s and a 1 inch rear block. No rubbing, no vibrations, no harsh ride, quiet and zero issues! The tires and wheels weigh a little less than the factory sport wheels and tires. No decrease in gas mileage, calibration is dead accurate and I am completely satisfied.

That video is bullshit. The guy later posted that he still had rubbing.

Hi guys, sorry if I missed it. I'm looking to get the biggest tires on my stock height for a 2017 TRD Sport Double Cab. I think I've finally decided on the BFG KO2 tire, but now I'm wondering what size I can get and if any modifications need to be made.

It looks like I need to remove the front mud flaps. I'm wondering if any other modifications need to be made.

    I have the OEM Sport wheels that are 17 x 7.5 (https://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/23157/aly75193-toyota-tacoma-wheel-charcoal-4261104170.html)

I also see talk about spacers, what are those for? Sorry.

Wheel spacers or spacer lift. With same width tires you won’t need wheel spacers or a lift.

    None :(
Someone may have told you this already but I don't feel like going through all these pages but take a heat gun to the wheel wells where it's rubbing and reform the plastic to where it wont rub.

I know dumb questions but a screaming deal came my way tonight and I don't have my computer to research it. Would 285/70R17s fit a stock 2018 trd off road dcsb with stock suspension?

Thanks Rockefelluh! It's a shame since the deal was for TRD Pro 17" wheels with brand new KO2s for a straight swap of my trd off road wheels.

For anything 285 width and wider you need to have someone cut the cab mount (known as cab mount chop or cmc). The reason is at half turn the tire rub.

Some say they can fit 275 but usually not. So rule of thumb is that 265 or less usually is fine.
