I messaged URD asking if their simulator would fix my problems they said

"Our sims do not fix O2 problems. All O2 have to be installed and working properly. Our devices prevents the P-0420/0430 codes only."

Now onto find a good price on the o2 sensors in Canada :)

Time to spill the TACO sauce and let you in on the other half of this build, the cost

Right from day one of this 007 Taco Pro adventure there was a few "guidelines" i wanted to stay within to make this work, they include:

The truck has to be safe as it will be my daily driver and family hauler (Pam, Parker & Terra). It also needs to be dependable as it will see weekend adventures to the cabin 3 hours away on the highway with the possibility of adventures down endless woods roads. It needed to make finical sense after all this is a 11 year old truck that had 380 000 km on it with a unknown service history that needed a lot of work. I wanted the towing capability for a trailer with sleds, sxs or building material for cabin. Automatic as my wife does not drive standard (my 02 1st gen is standard) in case there is a emergency and i can not drive. This truck needed to be solid but it did not need to look like it was babied as i am not into bling, waxing, polishing or chrome. If i dent it i did not have to worry about getting it fixed, more of a family hauler / material toy hauler. It had to be capable to be able to do medium off road situations along with snow covered drifted cabin roads.

I see the value in putting good parts into a project, i try to get lifetime parts, greaseable parts, but i am also not afraid to put used parts or aftermarket parts on.

So far the list of parts that have gone into this truck include

Truck, Tax, Inspection, transfer & Renewal
    Service Manual
    Toyota Install power steering line
    R & L Tie Rod end
    High Pressure line
    Upper R Ball Joint
    Upper L Ball Joint
    Steering Rack
U Joint Steering shaft ( not installed yet )
Cv axel seals ( not installed yet )
    Cv axel
    Studs pack of 10
    Rear Drums
    Rear Brakes
    Hardware Kit
    Rear wheel Cyl
    Rear Axel seals
    Pinion Seal
    Rear Brake flex line
    ABS sensor
    Rear diff fitting
    Flange Nut
Light Bar ( not installed yet )
    Weather Teck Mats
    Fluid Film
    Rims
Back Rack ( not installed yet )
    Frame Plugs
    Spark Plugs
    Oil Filter
    Oil
    Diff Oil
    Idler pulley kit
    Alternator rebuild
    Belt 07k0795
    NSS
    Transmission Filter
    Transmission Fluid
    Plugs splash guard

So what has this truck cost me ?

    $4100 TOTAL

This includes purchase price all fees paid and all parts but does not include insurance or gas or 1000000 Hours of my own labor

I have driven this 854 Km so far $4.80 per KM

so what do you think ?

    Personally i think i have a $8000 - $10000 truck in my local market

    Was it worth it ????

Yes i think it was especially where Toyota put a NEW frame under this truck, If they did not then this truck probably would not have been worth it to ME,

As this truck sits now it has the potential to last me 5 to 10 years if i take care of it. Even if the motor or transmission bites it i would put a salvaged one in it.

Looking back on it there was things i spent money on that i did not NEED and never ended up on the truck example front light bar, back rack, Inspection at a local garage because i did not want to crawl under with my good work clothes on.

jeez. I think you live in the one place that's worse on vehicles than Minnesota. That's just crazy the amount of rust you guys have. I thought I had it tough...

    This is true @lsaami

I read other peoples posts about fixing things and the time quoted to do the repair is usually 2 or 3 times longer due to rust, broken bolts, rounded off nuts & bolts due to rust eating away at the heads reducing their size.

HEAT is used in almost every repair along with Anti-seize and dielectric grease

Cars and trucks life span is very short here especially if they are not protected from rust

I have a set of Baja widetrack tires 32x11.5x15 on Chrome rims that came off my old 1992 4 cyl 22re truck. I know the backspacing on the 4 cyl and 6 Cyl rims were different back in the early 90's but this was with stock rims.

Taillight fell out during high speed off road test runs this weekend

Heard a banging noise so we stopped the screws had backed out and allowed the light to bounce around Lets say i need a new taillight :(

also while trying to qualify in the time trials for the Newfoundland 1000 my tail pipe decided to become disconnected

Local guy in our group sold his 2nd Gen truck and bought a tundra. He was good enough to donate a few left over parts he had kicking around. :)
