Hey broseph, do you have a write-up on how you wired up your fridge? Did you go direct to the battery or modify the bed outlet to be always on? Or go through your switch-pro? I'm not sure what to do with this thing now lol

Hey bud! Todd was a nice guy and rewired a 12v port I had in the bed to an Anderson powerpak connector. He then made me a cable for the fridge with that connector.

This powerpak connector is using wire I ran from the passenger rear cubby across to the driver side, up the frame and to the switch pro.

The ground goes from the rear cubby to the closest ground point to itself.

Hope that helps. I can snap some pics of the powerpak stuff tomorrow

    pics would be helpful ;)
Sounds like you're essentially just going to the switch pro though. Did you use a higher amp port?

Yes I sure did. It’s on the port 8 which is a 30amps port on the 8100. But it doesn’t draw too much to be honest. It would if it is starting from a hot state but mine has been on and cold since I got it. Either on AC in the garage or on that powerpak connector in the truck.

I’ll upload some close up pics in the morning

Cool. Is the powerpak just a plastic connector or is it some sort of battery/capacitor module thing? Is that connection inside the cab? I don't see much sense in going inside the cab for my application but I gotta figure out where to lay that wire to get power back there. I need to look at some other builds...

    Edit:
Oh, "passenger cubby." You mean the cubby on the passenger side in the bed. Right, you had some stuff wired up there previously. I remember that now

That’s right. Passenger cubby of the bed. I’ve got a voltimeter, 2 USB ports and a dual powerpak connector now. Check the pics and zoom in and you will see it attached to the cubby door.

I knew I’d want bed power so I ran a bunch of cables in one big run from the front to the back. It’s got 4 power wires in the bundle that I then put in loom and also taped over. Has held up fine so far

Nice. Do you know what gauge wire you ran from front to back?

I have a couple of 10 gauge and a couple of 14 gauge wires in that 4 way run from the front. I think I would have done all 4 in 10 gauge if I was to do it again.

Too bad there arent more offroad shops in town, you could easily work at one and use it to sell tons of gear for tacos

OP sucks and needs to get a job.

What's the verdict on that front? When are you starting, Mister Manager Sir?

It is true... im a terrible person!

I have 2 interviews this week with the same company for 2 different jobs. Im still working towards that manager spot with the interview on Wednesday with the team and the boss's boss. Should be the last round for that one.

I also have a solutions architect role interview with that team and their boss on Thursday. I believe this is the most lucrative position i have ever gone for. Total monetary compensation could be 25% more than I have made in the past which will be bad ass!

Either way, i hope to have the position secured this week :)
