    Not a mention of any electrical testing in this thread. Sigh.
    With key-on-engine-off you should be seeing the 5 volt reference signal from the PCM as well as power and ground. I unplugged the MAF and here is what I read on each pin on the connector.

    1. red/white = 12v (battery power)
    2. black/white = ground
    3. green = ground
    4. yellow/green = 4.9v
    5. blue/black - ground

    I recommend using a test light on 1,2,3,5 and a multimeter on pin 4. Once you get those readings you can go from there.

    Hey. Check out this photo I've attached. Someone had the same issue with a 97 taco. Dirty/ bad crankshaft sensor. See if that gets you anywhere.
